RuneScape! Tell us why you hate it.

So, from my experience with gamers, it seems at least 99% of them hate RuneScape, despite it being the 2nd biggest MMO in the world. Even if you only count the people who are paying subscribers, it still loses only to WoW. BUT ANYWAY, GETTING OFF TOPIC. Gamers, share why you hate RuneScape!

As someone who played until level 80something back (god its hard to remember exactly, I remember that the monster hunting profession came out right before I stopped playing) probably 6 years ago, I can say that when you are playing it its very fun, but when you take a step back and compare it to other games it isn't that great.

But in 6 years they could have made a lot of changes so my opinion may not be entirely relevant to its current state.

I played to combat level 107, and stopped around when construction came out. The quests are fun, and some of the gameplay is interesting, but it's so grindy! Bleh. The economy is ridiculous, too.

i LOVE runescape it was a my first mmo and ive played it for 6-7 years now. unfortunately i havent played in a couple of months but i probably will ge back into it on the summer .

It's not all that good of a game engine, but I love the world and the quests.

I want someone to make a single-player RuneScape in the style of The Elder Scrolls. It'll never happen, of course, but it'd be pretty cool.

Why do I hate it, though?

I keep quitting and my cousin keeps dragging me back to it trying to get me to PK with him, especially since they brought the Wildy back. I hate PKing.

I hate the players. I hate Dungeoneering. I hate Firemaking. I hate the stupidly steep EXP curve for skills. I hate how I can't open my bank and put new stuff in because I'm not a member anymore.

I hate a lot of things in it, but I still like it overall.

It was my first MMO, and I think it'll end up being one of the ones I keep playing. I'm Devius on there. I have decent stats. Woo.

Honestly, the only thing keeping me from playing is my lack of free time.

I think it's a very well-designed game, and has a lot of care and time put into it.

You forgot the bots. They came back in droves when Free Trade came back, and JaGEx, despite their assurances, has nowhere near the ability to shut them down that they told us they did.

I dont I had alot of fun playing

and now its so easy to become a member...all I have to do is buy a little card.....funny how you get the things you want when you dont really want them anymore

i think the only real reason ppl have a gripe with RS is the fact that its lvling scale is SOOOOOOOOOOOO steep. and now that i think about it i think that y ive stopped playin. but i mught get back because i just saw that theres a new ELEMENTAL WORKSHOP quest!

Aah. Much appreciated, I forgot about that. I haven't played in a couple months, so I didn't know they came back en masse, but yeah. It's kind of aggravating. Or it would be, if I trained things that were competitive. Fishing and Cooking, though? No way bots are going to interfere with anything but the economy for that.
