I don't know what to think about this. I mean, I really hate Rush Limbaugh's pro-right wing politics, and yet here he is defending video games' rights to free speech. One particular thing I'd like to highlight is this gem:

Rush Limbaugh said:
"If you're gonna start saying that video games are raunchy, then how the hell do you leave cable television alone?"
(Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.)

Rush Limbaugh is a very divisive person. Like you, I generally despise him for his absurdly right-wing policies (then again, I hate anyone who is too extreme in ANY direction), but he does occasionally make some good points.

In this particular case, he is ABSOLUTELY right that the government should not have a right to tell you how to live. Period. It's all fine to say that "You can't eat trans fats because it's bad for your health," but it's still not their right to tell you how to live. They can inform you of the risks, they can encourage you to eat healthier, but they shouldn't FORCE anyone to conform to a specific set of ideals like that.

Colour me impressed.

He's insane, don't get me wrong, but at least he's not contradicting himself like the rest of them. I'll never understand why a political group who wants the government to be as uninvolved with the public's lives as possible constantly demands the government to outlaw and restrict things.

I don't really know enough about Rush Limbaugh to have an actual opinion on him. I don't pay him enough attention. But nor do I pay any attention to a lot of people with extremist views. Much rather just watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

It's a good rule of thumb to avoid any "news source" with a political agenda. No matter what the politics, they tend to be utter idiots when they decide that the other side is "The Great Satan" and can never be right on anything. This is a major reason that I hate our current political climate in the U.S. And I'm not JUST hating on the Republicans for this.

However, despite however you feel about Limbaugh, you have to admit that in this case he is right. If it bothers you so much, comfort yourself with the fact that even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Should we all put paper bags over our heads and wait for the end? This is bound to be the last sign.

Not too much of a surprise considering his anti-government record. But... that still is kind of nice. If this guy can see what all reasonable people ought to be able to see for themselves, then maybe there is hope yet.

So... Rush Limbaugh is on our side now?

Huh.

That notion makes me feel sullied and unclean.

There are 50 million people at his rally I swears it! If they get to falsify numbers for Glenn's rally we should get to for ours >.<

Wow. I'm in agreement with something Rush Limbaugh said. I honestly don't know how to feel about that. I guess anyone can surprise you.

Oh, come off it, guys. I bet everything you ever saw of Rush Limbaugh was a biased, no-context youtube clip. I've read one of his books, and he isn't half as insane as everyone thinks he is (although he still is a bit).

I'll take allies where I can find them.

I am extrodinarily confused at the moment. Despite being registered Republican, I usually find Rush waaaaaaaay too right wing for me. But now that he's supporting us...I'm highly confused.

Well, I don't agree with most of Rush Limbaugh's political ideas, but I am glad to see that even some one has far right as he is sees how unconstitutional this law is.
