It doesn't really matter if it's a secret or not in all honesty. If you can't tell the difference between a fake and the real thing, you'll have to be prepared for both to be real. It's a pretty clever bit of deception I'd say, even if it's not particularly new or inspired.

That pretty much was what I was trying to imply in my opening article. This idea may sound a bit silly, but if it is good enough to fool radar and thermal imaging, then it will be very effective in actual use.

Knowing Russia's standard military tactics (its not throw bodies at things, shut up ;P), they have a tendency to use a significant amount of military deception and trying to make their enemies not really know what they are actually planning to do until it actually happens. There are tons of examples of this "Maskirovka" strategy being used in all of Russia's modern wars.

These new inflatable weapons, even if they may seem silly, probably will help Russia with achieving surprise even better than they already are able to do.
