Rust in MW2: Why so rare?

Yesterday, I played this map for the first time since I played the game. I'm almost lvl 30, and I just got into TDM with this map. Since I'm a shotgunner/knifer kind of guy, this map was practically heaven for me. But I've nearly played every other map several dozen times, but I've only just seen this map...Why do you think?

Its a Small map & at the beginning you always spawn in someone elses sights.

Personally, I hate it.

Rust is either a map that you adore or hate, so if it's played too often, people will get pissy. I think. It's like the prize at the bottom of the cereal box, when you do get it, you enjoy it even more....brb gonna go eat an entire box of coco-puffs.

Rust is way too small for a 5 on 5 game, it's a FFA map, not a team map. They should have team doubles, like in Halo 3, then rust would be decent but for 5 on 5 or more, it just blows, you can kill 10 people in 20 secs just because of pure luck, shouldn't be like that.

I'm guessing it's because it's so small, so people generally tend to hate it. I, however, absolutely love it. Nice, tight area that's fast-paced and a lot of fun. Of course, I've only ever played it with 4 players, so I suppose it could get annoying with anymore than that.

Like many maps, it doesn't fit all gametypes.

I was into my first prestige before I saw this map for the first time. Still I've only ever seen it a few times.

People don't like it becuase it's so small.

Personally i like it becuase it's quick, dirty, and fun as hell thru the whole thing.

Haha, I've only played it once, and it was a hacked/glitched game, and the guy had it set for no kill limit, or at least it was sky high.

*sigh* I leveled up so many weapons that day....

I like it because it's a small map, and its madness when there are about 20 people in-game at once.

Still, it's only good in short bursts.

I really like it in the Third Person Duels though.

I went there my 3rd or so match

Killed almost everyone with the Bazooka and LMG.
It can be very hectic at times, and getting spawn killed will happen a fari amount of the time, but it can be fun

I love the hell out of Rust. Due to it's small size, it makes a perfect run-n-gun map. Being a rabid UT fan, you can imagine how much I love this concept.

Unfortunately, EVERYONE votes to skip Rust and - for whatever reason - Wasteland.

I guess, but if everyone instinctively runs into that bunker, then they deserve the rapeage they get. Same with people who can't anti-camp the bunker. Everything has a workaround.

I wish I could play Terminal more. I never get Terminal. I get Rust all the time in 3rd Person Team Tactical, though.

I love rust was having fun with fmj akimbo p90's last time, pure rapage. Still its a map that levels out players alot. Even the best will get spawnfucked.

It's very rarely chosen for some reason, I've played it a few times now. And every single time I hate it just that little bit more.
