Sorry, I was in a rush to complete that post and ended up wording it wrong. There's been rumors, speculation actually, that RT might not continue RWBY past Volume 3 given the mixed reception(even backlash) it got from a number of fans and it's quite likely seeing how RWBY hasn't gone anywhere in the last two volumes. Plus, now that Monty's gone, they probably don't know what to do with it since it was his creation. It ties into what I said earlier about RT's reputation and how RWBY nearly destroyed it. I think one of RT's higher ups(not sure who) mentioned this but I'm not at all certain.
