Well, the Huffington Post managed to get a sneak peak of RWBY volume 4.

I really don't know what to say other than huh, this is a thing.
First, we get a little bit of fourth wall breaking humor with Nora and Ren debating the name of the team. This segment is odd to me. On the one hand, it breaks the tone of the show's former humor and makes it more like RvB which did have a lot more fourth wall breaking at time. On the other hand, it actually made me chuckle a bit so it worked?!?
Another thing to comment is animation and visuals. Rigging on the characters seems better and the texturing while overly clean, does work. So I suppose the shift to Maya work on more causal scene though i will need to evaluate fights to get a real sense.
We do get a small snippet of a fight but it's inconclusive so I won't comment
This season leaves me confused. It looks like major improvements are being done but i'm concerned this will turn into RvB anime edition and I mean both the serious and the comedic sides of RvB.
