Ryan Davis RIP 1979-2013

It was really sad and couldn't believe it when someone wrote "Ryan Davis is dead" on a Content Patch video (Total Biscuit news video), then immediately went to Giantbomb site and read the article and was baffled.

I thought it was a joke at first then I got confirmation from Twitter/other sites and it saddened me deeply. I can't say that I've been a "giantbomber" for a very long time, I only found them out in 2012 and started to listen to all their podcasts, Ryan was by far the anchor that held them together.

My condoleances go to his family and friends, he will be missed.

He had a rapport with Jeff, Vinny and Brad that just can't be replaced. Those four worked so well together, you could tell that was a friendship that was genuine.

I've listened to him for three years. I wish I had started listening longer ago.

Everybody together...It's Tuesday!

I think this marks the first time I've truly been affected by the passing a single person who was a total stranger. I may have (mostly) drifted off from the Escapist, Giant Bomb became over the last few years my go-to place for video game news and discussion. The Bombcast is a treat for people who just love games, and Ryan was the lynchpin of that show.

You were one of us, Ryan. You will be missed.
