I wonder if it disappoints Media Molecule and United Front Games when the tools they created for LBP and Modnation are only ever used to recreate other games, instead of showing individual creative sides like they originally intended.
honestly, the best levels out there are not recreations.
Fair enough, I guess they just get less publicity than they deserve.

This honestly didn't look that impressive, I've already seen people working on Limbo levels ready for LBP2 and they looked pretty amazing in comparison.

Seemed like he got the atmosphere ok but there wasn't much of a challenge and he could have made it much longer. The best remakes are the ones that add their own mechanics too.

Give some original levels publicity! ^_^

LBP and Limbo don't mix well. LBP is a game that's fun, colorful, and cuddly unless you don't want it to be, while Limbo is dark, horrifying, and addicting.
They don't mix, but nice map anyway. Doesn't look as challenging as Limbo, though.

The only thing that didn't fit well was the guys... that didn't make sense to me to put them there, I really felt like it actually hurt the validity of the map. Other than that, amazing!

As for everyone who's saying about game ripoffs - in most cases, things like the mario ones and whatnot go out of there way to be exactly like the original game. In this case, what he was more trying to recreate the atmosphere and style which is one that is very counter to LBP's style. That, to me, is interesting and unique and shows what the tools of the game can accomplish. He also didn't copy the actual game very much at all, just the ideas and the set pieces. It's kind of like fan fiction: I really like this idea, but lets try it in a different perspective. Not a direct copy.

I'm off to play LBP now because of this! I was gutted that an awesome game like Limbo was going to be XBLA only but at least I can try out the LBP version!

It's a shame you can't mute the sound mobs make on levels. That "Dooeet!" noise really detracted from it. Other than that, brilliant level! Wonder how many 'parts' theres gonna be.

To those of you who can't play Limbo - you're still missing out.

But at least you can get a taste of it :)

Wow, simply amazing. I must say I love the creativeness of some of the Little Big Planet players. =D

Its when I see things like this that I really really really wish my internet would work on my PS3, not only so that I could D/l levels like that but also so that I could D/L the LBP packs with watere and stuff in them so I could actually make levels like this too....

Yea, no. Even with the completely dark color scheme and atmospheric music, LBP still feels like playing a cartoon. Call me when sack buy gets impaled by a giant spider and blood squirts everywhere. Also, this looks three-hundred times easier than Limbo. But then again, everything in LBP is easy.
This reads like you've never actually played LBP. Have you? And if so, how far did you get? Because later on the game isn't so easy anymore.

That one bit at 1:14, where he sees the firefly, starts reaching for it, watches it fly away, and then gets all dejected-looking?

I "awwww"ed.

I bet I'm not the only one.

It doesn't look a WHOLE lot like Limbo, but that it got even this close amazes me. This is a perfect example of why I'm in such strong favor of content-creation tools in games.

This is one of the reasons why I'll probably buy a ps3, once the next gen of consoles are out.

Another fantastic LBP level... that I can't play because I don't have LBP...

In anycase, it was an interesting video. I wonder what part 2 will look like.

It looks like it, but it doesn't feel or sound (sound is arguably the most important aspect of Limbo) like it.
