Recently, Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke and Gurren Lagann have both had pretty sad endings. Shadow of the Colossus also gets me pretty emotional.

Because common sense tells us that we're not supposed to openly say what happens without spoiler tags. It's a lack of care towards others.

The Bioshock 2 neutral ending. It's my favorite ending, specifically because it's that sad. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

The ending from Battlestar Galactica and many times through out the show's run. I swear I cried my eye's out during season four. Damnit Baltar, you had to find some way to make me cry with less then four minutes left to go in the season finale...

Apart from these, the ending to Evangelion (despite being all kinds of "off-my-meds" crazy) was so sad I'm surprised it hasn't come up yet :/

You mean the show ending or the movie ending?

Eventhough I knew Grave of The Fireflies was going to end badly the moment it began, the ending still got me.

If anyone has read the Hunger Games Trilogy thats up there for me in really sad endings. I know that its not terrible but they still have to live with the pain and Peta still is messed up in the end.

It was a great ending. It makes you feel totally defeated yet accomplished at the same time. That was the one part of the campaign were the game actually moved me. and it only lasted a few minutes.

I went from totally okay to bawling so bad that the TV was blurred out through my tears in about 10 seconds. The ending is so sudden, but it's so good.

Wolf's Rain too, figure I'll throw that in there. The last two episodes make me sob every time.
