I know this has been posted before, but its always fun to talk about.

What part of what game(s) have made you cry?

I'd say the end of Dead Space 2, where they're about to kill off Isaac, but then Ellie comes to the rescue, and of course, Unchatred 3, when Sully gets shot. I hugged my TV when I found out they didnt really shoot him.

Usually tragic sacrifices, like that Republic Trooper at the star of KoTOR, Captain Whatshisname.

Also deaths of beloved characters like Mordin in ME3.

Dammit why do I always get curious and look at these saddest moment threads... they're always full of un-spoiler-tagged spoilers.

ON topic:

'Don't look honey'
'I love you dad'
'Look away'

ME3 is the first game to make me cry. And it happened several times, including the ending which I thought wasn't that bad.

99% of the Mass Effect trilogy is my favourite franchise of all time.

That last 1%? Those endings?

Fuck man. People said they were bad, but I didn't believe them.

That was a great one.

I'll also mention the end of Metal Gear Solid 3 and when Agro drops from the cliff in Shadow of the Colossus.

Just recent for me.
The death of Mordin, and Thane. The almost death of Grunt. I was feeling kinda sad about him taking down all those ravengers and falling off the cliff. Then when he walked out of the cave I thought. Oh yeah. You can't keep him down. Miranda dying. Meh.

I get you're upset but this isn't really the thread for it.

For me, recently?
It was Thane's death scene in ME3. Then the whole fake one was Grunt in ME3 it was totally epic and then it was more epic again!

Uh, yeah, I think you should at least give some warning when you're spoiling a game from one week ago. Because some people haven't played it yet, and all.

OT: Silent Hill 2, before the fight against the two Pyramid Heads. Oh, and, of course, Portal's ending. And Portal 2's ending, obviously.

I hated losing my dog in Fable 2... seriously! I have become quite attached to the little bugger... in fact usually when transiting between locations, i'd watch the dog more than my character, or what I was actually doing!

Poor lil bugger!

I was actually saddened when Dad from Fallout 3 was disappointed in my choices but I don't know if thats sad or just Liam making me ashamed of myself. Course then he died.

I'm probably biased since I'm playing ME3 right now, but so far this takes the cake (not about the endings):

Mordin's death. He was probably my favourite character in the whole trilogy. I think his story arc was handled very well overall, but his death is just heart breaking. Especially when he starts singing just before the explosion.

The end of The Bard's Tale, when I realized that the princess wasn't quite as beautiful as I had hoped. It was a mutual feeling with The Bard himself.

You know that part near the end of Red Dead Redemption where
John dies?
I even knew it was coming but I still felt the sadness welling up inside me when it happened.

Mass effect 3(endings). Sadness on a whole lot of levels. :(

Never ever thought I'd agree with raving Mass effect-critics.
