Does anyone else get the reply and quote buttons on the side and it doesn't let you open the characters box when they go to the front page?
Yes, actually... It may just be a coding error. It should go away by itself before too long.

The sun rises slowly, lazily, (much like a new high school student, you may say, thaugh the sun cannot swear) above the the rolling green hills. Behind the hills, in another world and time, humans live in blissful ignorance. They get up in the morning. They go to work. They love their spuses and their children. They die of colon cancer or a stroke or commit suicide or whatever they do when their time is up.
A road leads out of the town, a path seldom walked upon. An old road, sussposedly a cursed one. Those who try to go this way tell stories of neverending marches forward, or of finding themselves back where they started. Some tell of strange, shadowy shapes walking besides them.
But then, those few do not know the secret words of power, the arcane codes to open the gates.
A few old cars drive calmly along the other side of the road. The Invisible side. The road twists around a lake and a forest, and seems to get somewhat thinner as it approaches the great, blurry building looming above it in the horizon.
In one car, an irish looking pair, quite unassuming(as long as you don't look at their ears), exchanges jokes with a pale boy in the back seat. He seems quite upset. The mother, a dreamlike, stupid look on her face, gazes at the father.(DuplicateValue)
A bright green car drives by itself a little behind it. After trying for many hours to figure out how to make the thing move, the fair(if somewhat nervous) looking man in the driver's seat decided to give up and just tell it to. He sits next to a white haired boy with a bored look on his face.(ThreeWords)
The next car is black and sleek. It is driven by a Shader, a human agent for the Ministry of Shadows. He picked up the strange, half goat creature-boy that sits next to him somewhere in the forests near Boston. The boy is humming to itself a merry tune.(Fraught)
In an expensive car driven by a man in an expensive suit, a muscular, hairy boy is frowning to himself in worry and anger. His father, poor human that he is, is probaby much more afraid then him right now, but he would never show that.(TheMax)
Another black Ministry car is behind. It is bigger, and the back seats have all been temporarily removed(to the great displeasure of the black suited man currently driving) to allow a beautiful girl with great white wings and a red skinned devil boy to sit in some comfort there. Both seem to be in no little pain. Great wings, small space.(CounterAttack and Alotak)
In the back side of one old, dirty van, two brothers sit. Sometimes they speak and sometimes they fight and sometimes they laugh. Both have a quality of rose and oak to them.(James_Sunderland and Lycanthrope)
...
On a lonely path through the woods, two boys who met each other on the way walk and talk. One happens to be half horse. One happens to be half alive.(Quad08 and Gorrister)

............

Feel free to speak a little, intros, stuff like this.

Me and lycan ain't two brothers, we're brother and sister. Just wanted to clear that up reall quick.
Rhoda was messing around with her guitar a little.
She went through a bunch of different melodies, including the opening to "Today" though to her brother's relief she didn't sing along with it.
She was bored of the long ride and just wanted to get it over with. For lack of anything better to do, she started playing "Scar Tissue".

My hebrew grammer instincts are messing with my writing in such a late hour. Did you know that in hebrew, if even one male exists in a group, the whole group is referred to as if it was composed of only males?(Also note that in hebrew all objects have grammatical gendres. We don't have "it"s.)
So when I think about a pair, a brother and a sister, my mind brands them as "brothers". Sorry for that.

"...So there I was, minding my own buisness, when some pixie asshole comes over and jumps on my back, yelling 'Donkey ride, donkey ride!'. Now I know pixies are known for being mischievous and shit, but damn man, I'd just had half a branch of the Shrew and I was just getting my chill on. I don't need to be giving a lift to some punk pixie with a hard-on for centaurs harshing my mellow. So I kick the little fuck off my back, he hits his head on a tree, and suddenly I'm the bad guy. Ain't pixies got some magical healing powers or some shit? Or is that Elves? Man I dunno..."

Max took a deep drag of the highly decorated pipe he was holding out the corner of his mouth and held. A slow buzz came over him as he felt a wash of relief flow over him. His teeth, blackened slightly from his habbit, clung tightly to the pipe as the green smoke blew out his nostrils.

He turned to face the skeletal being, unabashed in the slightest by his appearence and smiled.

"So that's one of the reasons I ended up being sent here. What about you Skeletor? You got a story to tell?" he asked, offering him the pipe.

Gotta jet, got work, take over my character if needs be?

@Oneirius: I understand, it's the same in French. =]

Dillon sat silently in the back of his car, smiling politely at the jokes his parents made, in an attempt to look like he wasn't nervous. He had been both looking forward to, and dreading, coming to this school. He knew it would be better for him, but he had never been good around large groups. There was bound to be many other kids his age there, and he wasn't quite sure how he would get on with them.

He looked out the window, watching the scenery pass him by, always aware of the large building that loomed not so far away.
It wasn't long before they were pulling up outside his new school, and he pushed open his door and got out. Pulling his bags from the boot, he walked back over to say goodbye to his parents.
They stood smiling at him lovingly though, as always, his mother was too distracted by his father to focus on him for too long.

He put on a brave face and shouldered one of his bags. "Well, goodbye Dad........goodbye Mom. I'll miss you."
His dad strode forward and ruffled his hair. "Good luck, my lad. Stay out of trouble, won't you?"
Dillon smiled. "I'll try my best."
His mother tore her attention away from her husband long enough to manage a "Goodbye son", and smiled at him briefly. She didn't offer a hug. He knew she couldn't.

He turned away from them solemnly and trodded up the large driveway to the front door of the school, thinking silently to himself.
Well, here goes nothing...

Not going to happen. I'm anti-drug IRL, anti-drug in character. I'll probably end up shunning you as long as you're doing Shrewgrass.

Rochelle's white wings were folded behind her back, reminiscent of a sparrow on land. She made to speak to the red-skinned demon, but decided against it for some reason, looking out the window instead.
Maybe it was his appearance that unsettled her: the clawed hands and the horns were creepy enough, but the black eyes... they were just wrong to her.

Nathan leaned back on a tree, and stroked his imaginary jaw with his bony white fingers, his fleshless white skull in a permanent leery grin

"A story? How could someone like me not have a story?"

He laughed, the sounds somehow emitting form his mouth as he talked, despite having no vocal cords yet his voice was that of a normal sounding eighteen year old male.

"There was this one time I died and made a deal to become this get revenge. That was fun. Mind if I have a smoke of that?"

He asked, motioning to the pipe in Max's hand

Sam looked out the window past Rochelle, trying to see what she was so intersting in.
Her with her "I'm so pristine look at me! I'm an Angel. I too good to talk to a Demon." It was probably nothing, he shuffled around flexing his wings slightly and flicking his tail a bit.
Oh nuts to it. he thought.
"So" Sam said turning towards her, "Why are you here?"

Im already enjoying this,

Having finished Scar Tissue, Rhoda plucked the strings randomly for a moment before sighing and beginning with Under The Bridge.
Dear God, was she ever bored shitless.

Need some shut-eye folks, back tomorrow.
James out, boomshanka.

Carolina sat in a sleek black SUV her mother and father both up front discussing their new 'meat suits' of the week. Carolina sat in the back, lost between the pages of yet another book. "Honey, do try and stay at the school for more then one year please. I heard the Frankfor's talking the other day about how Mike was doing so well and how he can behave himself," said her mother in a sickly happy voice tearing Carolina away from her book character's newest nightmare.

"Don't I always? And you know, it wasn't my fault, Cynthia had brought it upon herself," Carolina responded putting an old photo reel as a bookmark back in her book and placing it in her messenger bag sitting next to her on the plush fake leather seats. She cringed inwardly at the higher-toned voice, not quite used to it yet.

"She only opened the door to your black room, it was an honest mistake. You're lucky she wasn't turned! Putting two newly-turns into her room, honestly you'd think I was raising a delinquent" said her mother, rubbing the bridge of her nose where a pair of high-end frames were perched, clearly frustrated.

"She ruined what could have been my best shots of the year on purpose! If anything I was merciful."

"I'm not having this argument again. Hold on, incoming call," she said pressing on the wireless phone glued to her ear, already entranced in what seemed to be a heated discussion. Carolina rolled her eyes and turned towards the window looking at the trees flying by as the green of the leaves and brown of the bark blurred into one big mess. Her mom covered the mic. of the phone and turned to face her daughter. "Honey," she started her voice patronizing, "Something just came up. It seems that we have another rogue that's going to cause some issues within the company. The school'?s only a mile or so up ahead, you don't mind walking do you?" She threw in a smile that didn?t fit the blonde-haired woman's face.

"Now Barb, surely it can wait," said her father already slowing down the car to a stop. Taking the hint Carolina grabbed her bag and opened the side door.

"It's fine Dad, you guys go and do your job," she said hopping out and heading to the back to grab her trunk. She pulled out a worn brown leather trunk and propped it up on the side of the dirt road. Giving a half-smile, she waved at her parents turning the car around. They had not even having said goodbye to her. Her mom blew her a small kiss before returning to her earlier conversation. A dust cloud billowed under the tires as they left back the way they had came. Carolina let out a sigh before starting her way back up the road, her eyes wandering over the gnarly trees that twisted each way. She loved how the sun filtered through and created spots on the ground and she wanted to pull out her camera, but she kept walking, not wanting to be too late. 'Here goes nothing...' she thought, her stomach starting to flop in a nervous manner.

Sorry but I've seem to have not maken it into the intro so I hope this works okay for an intro post, if not I don't mind going back and changing it at all.

Rochelle turned to the Demon. "Me? I'm here for my safety. A vampire attacked me a while back, and almost killed me." She indicated the bite-mark on her neck. "What about you?"

Max smiled. "Grass was designed to be shared my man! It's potent stuff though, might wanna take a small hit before you really wanna trip balls. If you even have any balls I mean." he added with a smile. He already liked this kid.

"So you're like, dead?" he questioned as he handed the pipe to him. "That's pretty heavy. I met a vampire once. She seemed nice. Right up until she tried sucking something else. That's about as close to death as I ever want to fucking get." he said with a wink, and burst out into high pitched giggles. He was on a good trip, the best he'd had in a while. What was the best thing about this particular strain of Shrewgrass was that only he knew how to make his special mixture using shit you could find in an everyday garden. Making it dirt cheap to make. Sure, he'd had his up's and down's with experimentation. Once he was caught swimmming in a well claiming that he was the Princess of the Merpeople, vomit and blood caked in his damp fur.

But such was the cost of being a genius of the Shrew he thought with a smile.

"Smoke that shit up man. I'll have a few more hits on the pipe before we head into class. Wouldn't wanna be late would we?" he said, trotting at a steady pace, the school now in plain sight. The woods chirped with various birds, the flutter of wings sending dozens of multicoloured leaves to the path.

This should be a good year he thought, nearing the entrance of the school.

?Now, I want you to try to behave yourself at this school. There are probably things a lot more powerful than you there, and if you fly off the handle like you did?? Rupert Torgerson really wanted to keep his son at home, where he could monitor him, but after the incident, he really didn?t have much of a choice but to send him to this new school, regardless of what either of them thought.

"Dad, you know I'm not like that. You KNOW I wouldn't have done what I did if he didn't have it coming." Sven was still convinced he was blameless in the altercation with his best friend?s older brother. Heck, he didn?t remember much of the details between seeing Josh knocking her out and waking up in a hospital a few hours later.

?You hospitalized seven people and nearly killed Joshua! Rachel?s probably traumatized for life! Until you learn to control that? thing inside you, you?re too great of a risk to the people around you.? Rupert sighed, but before his son could interrupt him, he continued, ?Look, I know you were just trying to save your friend and didn?t mean to hurt anyone as bad as you did. The judge must have seen that, too; otherwise, you?d be going to jail. Maybe someone at this new school can help you with your problem. But if that doesn?t happen, and these incidents become a trend??

Sven just sighed. He?s had this conversation several times before: Sven points out it only happened once; Dad overreacts and asks if someone has to die before he gets help. Sven says Josh had been abusing Rachel for several years and finally someone stepped in; Dad asks if any of the other people had it coming, or else just rattles off that stupid ?eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind? quote. Fortunately, before that could happen, Rupert noticed what appeared to be a strawberry blonde girl with a bow in her hair walking down the road towards the school. ?Now why the hell would anyone drop their kid off a mile from school?? Rupert asked nobody in particular as he slowed down next to her as Sven silently thanked whatever deity was in charge for the distraction. As Rupert pulled over he rolled down his window and asked the girl, ?Would you like a lift??

Nathan stuck the pipe between his skeletal teeth and a sound like a breath being inhaled was heard, along with smoke visibly traveling down where his windpipe would normally be, before somehow exhaling the smoke through his eye sockets, before turning to Max

"One of the benefits of my unique...condition is that I cannot get drunk or high. I do feel the pleasurable sensation of the food and drink, however I just suffer no ill affects"

He tilted his head then at Max's question about whether or not he was dead, his skeletal fingers tapping against his skull in thought

"I'm not sure how dead I am...I didn't really read the contract that well"

He chuckled, as he sucked in the smoke some more before handing back the pipe

"That is some good grass man. One of the more calming sensations I've felt. What type?"
