Saints Row 3 Promo pics reveal Holiday 2011 Release Date.

The first images for Saints Row 3 have shown up. The main promo pic reveals Johnny Gat with his trademark shades, an assault rifle, and a champagne bottle, while a young lady boards a plane with her own gun and, presumably, a bag of ill-gotten loot.

The second image is less visually stimulating, but a bit more revealing, as it declares we can "strap it on" this coming Holiday season -- a bit more definite than THQ's previous "Fall" release window. Looks like the publisher is aiming to grab a slice of the Christmas action with this sequel.

The original pic looks like it will be a Game Informer cover, which wouldn't be surprising as Game Informer does everything in the world. The rest of us will feed on the scraps and love it.

In any case, I can't wait to find out more. Saints Row 2 is one of my favorite games of this generation, and I'm hoping Saints Row 3 will eclipse it.

I was given the second game as part exchange for a PSP ages ago and it more or less was in my 360 for a month, solid. I still fire it up now and again, just to dick around in it. Hopefully this game will still be insanely bonkers.

Saints Row 2 was awesome. I got more role play value and fun out of SR2 than any other game that year. Here here for more accents (Irish and an Aussie!) and fighting styles!

I can't wait to see what awesome mini games we have in store. I hope they're keeping in the Fighting Ring game, I can't tell you how much fun I had with that. Here's to hoping that they don't drop any elements that made SR2 great. It was epic fun and I managed to role play all the way through it thanks to my six shooter wielding Cockney Wesker look alike.

All I hope for in SR3 are more active area control missions, comebacks from other gangs once you've wiped them out( I mean hell your character came back and retook still water. If they tighten up the competitive multiplayer portion, they should put in a clan system to make your gang, probably with home and away colors so two green teams don't end up all confused at who they are shooting at. Lastly something so trivial, I just want to change the color of the saints. Realistically I customize everything else, I just don't Like purple.

SR2, one of the games I still replay regularly, just for the fun of it.

Looking forward to this one, but I seem to remember they said there were going to be some significant changes to the gameplay this time around, and a very different story.

Saints row 2 is probably my favorite video game ever basing this on the hours i've poured into and times i've beaten it (probably at least a dozen times) As long as the customization and story are as good as the last this should be an awesome ride.

Saint's Row 2 would have been one of my favourite games of the year if it wasn't such a bad port to the PC, particularly with vehicles. I think I'll wait for (p)reviews before I decide to get it SR3.

Is it me or will 2011 be full of great games: Skyrim, Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2, Duke Nukem Forever, The Witcher 2, Mass Effect 3, Batman: Arkham City, Portal 2, Gears of War 3, Little Big Planet 2, Marvel VS Capcom 3, Bulletstorm, Killzone 3, Pokemon Black and White, Shogun 2: Total War, Uncharted 3, Dead Space 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Diablo 3, Infamous 2, L.A. Noire AND Saints Row 3. (Maybe some of these won't come out in 2011 but I'm too lazy to check and some are already out)

OT: SAINTS ROW 3, HELL YES. Double points if they fix the engine or make a new one.
