I get the joke, still I'm disappointed. I wanted to see what Ashanti looks like in the sequel.

I never expected anything more from this trailer. I knew it'd be weird and awesome, and it didn't dissapoint.

A simple teaser trailer draws so much ire? Well then screw you people, you're no fun. I for one look forward to dressing up as a luchador before going on a spree beating people with my three foot long dildo sword.
I once watched a 300 lb. naked man smoking a blunt ride his tricked out scooter into the side of a cop car while blaring Mastodon.
I once saw a pirate have a dogfight in a triplane before parachuting out and crashing it into an office building.
I once saw a man in assless chaps toss a dude in a hot dog costume to his death in the sea.
I once saw a character dressed as The Macho Man body slam an old lady into the sidewalk. Repeatedly.
Am I the most interesting man ever? Unfortunately not. But I thought of this and did it in Saints Row 2. Thank you video games.
If I have to sit through one more morality tale I'm going to scream. Hey developer guys, you need new tricks. This game doesn't have any stupid pretenses. You're a... whatever the hell you wanna be crime lord doing whatever the hell comes to mind.
If I wanted a book I'd skip the fucking video games and go buy one. "Oh this just looks stupid." What? Like your pseudo intellectualism via gaming? You shall eat dildo sword snob!

While this trailed made my heart bleed hoping to see crazy explosions and fucking madness, hopefully we'll get more next time.
Ironically, people have called the game unstory like, but the story in Saint's Row 2 was actually really interesting...IS interesting (haven't beaten it yet). There are moments that make me sad, and yet I've caught myself laughing at the jokes, the cutscenes actually well done, and ironically almost feeling like gameplay since they look like the in-game graphics.
If I have money I'll buy this game, but I probably won't since my girlfriend is already mad at me since I'm buying Portal 2, Duke Nukem Forever Balls of Steel and Infamous 2 Hero Edition...she probably won't be thrilled at another launch day buy...
