Aw, I liked The Blood. I remember hearing Obfuscation and being happily surprised.
That said, it's not a big enough feature to warrant being too upset.

Am I saddened by the loss of the metal station? Yes. However, the track list for The Mix more than makes up for it. Safety Dance, Just a Friend, and What is Love? I say, fuck yes.

Good. That channel was a pox on the game and it'll be improved by getting rid of it, lest people get the wrong idea about metal.

Doesn't look like The Mix will play fun 80's tunes anymore though.

Huh. I likled the Blood. It wasn't my only station, but the DJ was awesome, and I liked Rise Rebel Resist, and a couple of other songs. Sometimes you need metal.

You have the option to listen to your own music from the ps3 or Xbox, on foot or in the car. As for the guy saying they removed stuff? They were still putting things in about a month ago and only stopped due to having to bug test everything.
I really hope this isn't misinformation! Long have I pined for those options!

So... Play your own music files, maybe? Licensed tracks cost money and if anything, if this means Volition would rather focus on the gameplay and handle less licensing procedures (legal processes aren't always easy); I'm okay with that.

If you're seriously going to cancel your pre-order based on an arrangement of sounds you like not being present in the game's memory, then I think I'm not the first to say this is ridiculously petty.

You don't get your metal in your Saints Row IV? Oh, boo hoo. Meanwhile there's people who still think the SNES is some hot shit because they live in corners of the world where you're lucky if you manage to play a pirated version of freaking Daikatana on a shitty beige tower from fourteen years ago.

Grow up, OP. Honestly.

Seems a silly thing to complain about.

I mean Saints Row has always been one of those if your playing it for more then a minute with out a dude and a murder your doing it wrong' kinda games, can't really say the radio stations ever came into play as a factor of why I should or shouldn't get the game. THAT is more along the lines of 'do i need a cartoonish murder simulator in my life?'

I'm not surprised that they are dropping The Blood 106.66 because the station in 3 was shit compared to KRUNCH in Saints Row 2.

When I need to check that I'm listening to the metal radio station because it doesn't appear to be playing metal music something has gone horribly wrong.

Besides, with Deep Silver planning to have Mod support included I'll just add in KRUNCH and rock on!

You like pop music? Go fuck yourself! Krunch: 106.66!

They actually said they removed 106.66 just because they want to get "better" songs.

Uh... no. Fuck that and fuck you Volition. My last bastion of hope was the Metal station after you cut out clothing layers, made NPCs nothing more than dumb targets (when in Saints Row 2 there was a LOT of dynamic behavior), took out the two best activities (Septic Avenger and Fuzz), took out most of the weapons, made the game a huge DLC-fest, and made the city much smaller with much less depth. The ONE thing I could tell myself was "At least they still have some kickass metal songs from the likes of Amon Amarth, Strapping Young Lad, After the Burial, Mastodon, Black Dahlia Murder, and the like." But then they just up and DELIBERATELY alienate that audience because they want to get "better" songs? Or rather "appeal to a wider audience"? Yeah, you can have Gat come back to life, Shaundi go back to her better self, return to Stillwater with the city having everything in it that it used to, bring back all the NPC behaviors, bring back all the weapons, bring back clothing layers, and whatever else you did to piss off your fans with Saints Row 3, but that? With that right there I will never buy a Volition game again, they just lost mine and 5 other people's pre-orders at once with this announcement.

hehe hehehe HahahaHAAHAHAHAHA

I think I've said all that needs be said but in case you didn't get it read the other posts and watch again.

To be honest all the DLC annoys me far more than losing the metal station, hopefully you can play your own music anyway.

I don't see how radio stations would matter in SR4, especially since most of the times you will barely be in a vehicle anyway (hello super speed, super jump or flight?).

That and you know, licensing the songs would cost extra.

Honestly the radio channels in Saints Row have never been that good anyway. The metal channel wasn't popular enough to justify the cost of adding it. We can whine about it or we can accept it and listen to our own music. I have a wide variety of reasons to not want this game, the music is not a dealbreaker.

It's too bad they won't have a metal station, as I almost exclusively listen to heavy music. However, in Saint's Row, I often turn on some hip hop just to go with the whole gangsta-theme. Works for me.

It's not like I even enjoy rap music that much (I don't listen to it at all outside of Saint's Row), but it fits so perfectly to the activities I usually engage in these games I can't pass the opportunity to immerse myself a little bit more.

Anywhayzen, as long as they keep the British voice actor, all is right with the world. My character just doesn't work without that ridiculous Cockney accent.

Meh, fair play to them, I get the reasoning behind it, and as a metalhead I'm gonna be honest. Blood was shit. There were a few good tracks on there but the rest...meh not so much. This is a non issue, and as someone else pointed out, I think you were just looking for the straw to break the camels back.

Did anyone try The Inauguration Station yet? It's the same crap from SR3. Volition found a way to sell us the expansion for $60 + all the DLC they plan on releasing. It's disgusting.
