Saints Row 3 just came out. I will not be buying it due to how terrible a port saints row 2 was for pc.
A shame, since the new game was actually developed by Volition instead of shopped out. But hey, your loss.
Saints row just came out so why is there $20 dlc for 3 missions that should have been in the game to start with.
For three mission
packs. They will doubtless be more than one mission long and cost more than 20 bucks total.
Additionally, based on the titles alone, I can be pretty sure that they should not have "been in the game to start with." These do not appear to be core items. Nor are they day one DLC. The pass is, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
DLC is getting out of control.
Yes it is.
Developers are testing waters with each new release to see how much they can make us pay for the same game twice.
I hope you don't think the "cheats" or "season pass" are new things. Cheats have been sold for years, and THQ was doing the season pass thing since at least last year, maybe more.
Regulations need to be imposed or this will just get even more out of control.
Or gamers can stop buying the shit. I'm serious, here.
Imagine buying a game then paying for the multiplayer feature thats already on disc.
You mean like online passes already do? Though maybe they're not on PC yet. Don't know. This is the only game I've bought with an online pass, and it was for console, but I'm pretty sure the PC versions of many of these games do the same.

Huh. I pre-ordered the game from GAME (it comes out tomorrow in England) and I got all the DLC free for pre-ordering.
Well maybe not the shark gun, but I got Prof. Genki's stuff and the Invincible pack.
And not the three upcoming packs that are the issue here.

I did notice that this game really feels unfinished as far as there being less stuff than SR2 especially the lack of clothing options. looks like the policy of releasing games half done and then selling you the rest might be in full swing.
There really isn't much missing from this game except clothing options. And yeah, that's a bummer, but it's hardly destroying the franchise.
