That looks awesome; a hell of a lot of fun.

However I hope there are some 'serious' elements to the game like there were in Saints Row 2...such as aspects of the plot and what not.
Having a plot in Saint's Row? Now you're just being silly....

SR2 had quite a good plot, but serious aspects in Saint Row....umm thats not going to happen after that demo we saw their, a man canon, a hover jet, a penis bat, BIG FISTS OH DOOM, airstrikes, costumes, pimp my ride style shops...well, their is no way in hell Saints Row can be series but it can have a good story, the part where you have to
kill your friend carlos to escape him from his pain after being dragged around
that part was pretty sad, it can be a bit series (0.1%) serious but the sillyness is the charm of the game, I still cant wait for this game, Im hell gonna get the Collectors Edition, give me a gun model this time!

THANK YOU. I would not of found this vid if you didn't link. I was worried Saints Row 3 would be serious (For some reason) or not have all of the mechanics i loved. Luckily it does and then adds more.

It's been a hell of a long time since I saw a game that looked just as fun to watch as to play.
In terms of the story, I hope the Boss (protagonist) doesn't get too sidetracked with learning what a monster he/she has become (if that aspect is even remembered from the last game) and we can keep the trend of very few "serious" moments. (there were about three in SR2, all including violence at some point)

I'm going to make a Duke Nukem avatar for this game, and finally forget how hurt my ass is after buying DNF.

They just need the Hand Cannon from Dead Space 2 and the Thundergun from Black ops. Then it will be perfect.....

If SR3 will be that awesome then it will probably kick GTA ass
SR2 already curb stomped GTA4. SR2, even with the poor port to PC, I finished and enjoyed. GTA 4, I stopped playing less than a quarter through the missions because it was far too frustrating.

One Criticism I have for both of them is that they only have city environments. I want the wide open road and driving through the country.
According to what I saw in the vid it seems like it's just city enviroments in this too, though I don't know, but if you want cruise through well varied terrain then Just Cause 2 pulls that off very good in my opinion

While the first one was pretty meh. The 2nd one stood as the anti-thesis of gta. It looks to have ramped that up further.
The second one may have the antithesis of gta4 but it was closer to what I think of when I think of gta as opposed to gta4 which was more of what I think of when I think of network tv crime drama.
SR3 is one of the only games I?m excited about right now. It will probably be THE game I?ll buy in November. The others I can wait for.

Well, you know, the three gang story arc thing. There were "aspects" (I use the term loosely) of seriousness.

Nevertheless it does looks very good.

Oh wow it's reminding me of San Andreas, in a good way.

Damn I gotta play this. Definitely a game on E3 I'm looking forward to besides the Darkness 2

I agree the actual story to Saint Row 2 was amazingly well done. They had a sense of emotion, (especially one particularly emotional cut scene with the death of one of your saints...I wont say who) that really drew you into the story and the characters...that was made all the better with the MC being completely of your own design.

Hell they even had 6 different voices, that delivered all the dialogue, in slightly different ways.. So really the main plot line had a ton of replay ability and charm.

Very true. I hope the level of customisation is still as high as it was before - including different fight styles etc.
