If Dark Souls wasn't coming out this year, then I would be prepared to declare SR3 game of the year all years. I have full faith that this game is going to keep the inexplicably likable characters from SR2... just seeing Johny Gatt and the Boss trade quips like they did makes this trailer all the more amazing.
You know the PC version is being developed in house this time, right? So you are basically wrong, and justifying not buying the game for a remarkably horrible and ill-conditioned reason. Pierce - iirc he's in the game, but he runs the Saints business in Stilwater, or something to that effect. So yeah, I don't know the extent of his involvement.

I've never played any of the previous Saints Row games, but now I'm wishing I had. While this one in particular wasn't as "cRaZy" as some other ones, it's really gotten me psyched for this. Now, if this is set to get a strong modding community, I'll totally be going for the PC version. Otherwise, my PS3 needs some lovin'.
Seeing a guy jump through a plane like that was one of the most awesome things I've ever seen, and is what made me go from "interesting game" to "Oh my, I'm most definitely buying this!".
..and I don't play a lot of games, or really like crude/careless violence all that much. But I'm definitely going to have so much fun with this!

I was already looking forward to it, but actually seeing it in action? Holy damn.
It's looking to me like an improvment over the last game in pretty much every way. Melee combat actually looks fun to use this time, not to mention insanely brutal, and the weapons have a much more visible kick. Character movement looks a lot more natural, and The Boss seems like a much more likeable character.
Definitely excited for this one. Here's hoping I actually have the money to buy it when it releases.

This new Shaundi looks almost normal. I find it an insult to SR2 fans!

I don't think you know what "in house" means. The PC port of SR2 was done by CD Projekt Red, aka not Volition. The PC version of SR3, however, is being handled directly by Volition. So, it's impossible to say that "they can do such a thing again" since the "theys" in each scenario are totally different groups.
