Well, it might be that the game was just showing you what to do in those situations - i.e., after a take down alternate the triggers to pummel someone to death - like the tutorial parts of the previous games. Although I suppose when you are grabbed in midair by a skydiver "press R to escape" is the definition of a QTE. Sigh.mad825 said:Why O' why must it have QTEs?
Ugh, I suppose I could drag myself to play it.
Yeah they are quite diffirent, basicly Gad is the one with the slick back hair....ReservoirAngel said:I didn't even notice Gat in the CG trailer, I couldn't pick out which one was him. Damn redesigns... Shaundi needs to revert to being a slutty hippy again, it's what made her awesome.StormShaun said:Aww I liked Gad's hair in the movie trailer like he had it in SR2, unless its taking a long time to make it or that they havent made him wear it until a diffirent mission?ReservoirAngel said:I don't mind Gat's slight appearance change, but I fell in love (platonically) with Shaundi the hippy, pot-smoking human mattress with the dreads, not Shaundi the "generic action girl in the smart suit". This is an injustice!StormShaun said:I think it is, it wont be Saints Row without all that customisation.ReservoirAngel said:Well it wouldn't be particularly impressive in the big gameplay show-off to run out of ammo, would it?Amondren said:I'm a bit confused because all the guns had unlimited ammo but still I am getting this game because it looks great and the 2nd one was amazing.
OT: This is the top of my list. It's this, WWE '12, Arkham City, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and then maybe Deus Ex.
My only concern is that the cockney British voice from Saint's Row 2 isn't going to be available. If they don't let us customize the voice, I'm going to be pissed off. I got really attached to my British psychopath, it'd be a shame to be press-ganged into playing as an American again.
Also I want the cockny accent too!
plus, Gads hair, whats with it?
the unlimited ammo part is proberley for the demo or the training mission.
Also, where's Pierce?
and im wondering how the hell did Shaundi got made...into...well THAT...they say shes a reality show contestant or something like that.
I think Pierce didnt take part in the robbery, I think he gets called over by the boss, to say, we need everyone here...now.
I hope that Pierce does not change my damn stations to classic...my car, my rules, damnit!
And Pierce... I actually found him changing the radio funny. Mostly cause I ALWAYS had the radio on the "Klassic FM" channel anyway. Either that or my personal playlist which was mostly classical music. So he'd change it from classical, to different classical and the Boss would react in what seemed like a really overblown way. Just made those missions in the car with Pierce absolutely hilarious to me.
But the MC does have some redeemable qualities. He's fiercely loyal to his crew and will open the very gates of hell to destroy all those who mean them harm. I mean he personally wheeled Johnny out of the hospital, broke him out of jail, helped the man extract revenge on Shogo and destroyed the Brotherhood after what they did to Carlos.Efrit_ said:While I did enjoy the gameplay of Saint's Row 2, if I can't add some redeemable features to my character, I don't want to play The Third. At the end of 2, I wanted to throw my own character into a furnace and let him roast alive, then serve him to an unknowing Saint's, with several tons of c4 underneath them.
I'm all for sillyness, but it crossed the line. I know that the main selling point for the series is how silly and utterly nonsensical it is, but since it allows you to customize, I'd like to be allowed to have some redeeming aspects for my character.
Also, I did not see Maxwell Sheffield voicing Boss. It'd be weird to transition to The Third and suddenly not have the english accent.

Surely you jest. Did you try the other accents? Like, any of them?Frankie Villanueva said:What happend to Shaundi's voice??!?!?!?!?!! And everyone knows the Mexican accent was the best one in SR2.
Yeah, the other two were ok, (though the British one got annoying after a while) the Mexican vioce actor just broght the character alive. He wasn't just a guy with a Mexican accent, he was a Bad-ass who happend to speak spanish.Thunderhorse31 said:Surely you jest. Did you try the other accents? But that's the beauty of Saint's Row. All too often we're faced with games that make the protagonist redeemable or live in the world of black and gray morality. Here we have The Boss as a psychotic monster who does not see himself on the side of good and acts accordingly. This is VERY refreshing and I love the direction of his/her character.Efrit_ said:He caused Carlos' death himself due to his reckless attitude, Aisha got what happened to her due to the recklessness of Gat and Boss, who both should've never used her in any of their schemes if they weren't ready to face the possibility of what she ended up in.
Also, don't forget the last two missions (or secret missions, as the wiki calls them), after the whole corporation thing.
Most of the tragedies in Saint's Row 2 occur due to the reckless stupidity of Gat and Boss. Just because they both are willing to save each other due to their unending bro-mance, does not give them a pass on all the shit they are responsible for.

You could get Infinite Ammo for everything in the second, and I assume the first as well. You could then replay the old missions with your newfound goodies.Amondren said:I'm a bit confused because all the guns had unlimited ammo but still I am getting this game because it looks great and the 2nd one was amazing.
