Anyone else excited for it? What features are you hoping they'll add? What features are you hoping are still there? Anything you hope they've done differently? Anyone want to pre-emptively speculate how it will compare to GTV or LA Noire?

I think this might actually be the game I'm most looking forward to of all the games slated for 2011/early 2012. If it's half as addictive as Saints Row 2, it will definitely be awesome. It also sounds like they're going to deviate from the normal "start from nothing, earn respect" which is the norm for these games, which makes sense, really. You've taken over the city twice in two games; starting from zero again would be ridiculous. Plus, it gives the game a chance to take it up a notch straight from the very beginning, and then just keep escalating.

I also hope they keep the character customisation as deep and rewarding as before, if not moreso.

Kinda excited. Judging by the improved graphics one of the things I am looking forward to is more stylised clothing. The original Saints Row had this with how you could customize colors, and sometimes they would come in custom stripes or floral patterns. With Saints Row 2, sure it was more expansive but it lost a lot of the style.

I also hope they make the game harder and make wanted levels/gang notoriety more of a risky move. In Saints Row 2 once you get to a certain part of the game it becomes laughably easy to gun down police officers and swat, and drive away with barely any concern. I still recall games like San Andreas featuring police that suddenly caused you a lot of problems.

I hope, if this is the last in this arc...that you die in the end. I get it, its a game that goes out there and beyond, but I honestly really hate my character and want them to die.

Though I guess thats a good feeling to make me have about a mass murdering villian, compaired to the mass murdering villians of GTA that actually try to make you like them.

Seems pretty fucking cool. The only thing I can think of is that there should still be remnants of gangs after you've killed their leader. I find it hard to believe that a gang is going to go and disband just because the head honco died. Maybe a small hit squad tries to take you out or attack your base as revenge.

Maybe some environmental destruction too. I want to crash a fucking semi truck through a building, or blow the side of a rival gangs hideout open...

Technically you dont only kill their leader. When you take a gang out you remove their territory, along with their main money making enterprises and use them for your own, along with your own gangs patrolling the area. It's not that hard to believe after gutting the gang from the inside and removing the head the rest would drop their flags before getting killed.

I'm just hoping, they don't make the activities impossible outside of co-op the only two friends I had who had the game completed all the activities together while my X-box was on the fritz and when I got it fixed they were done and had all the achievements so they didn't want to do it again, so I had to do the whole campaign without any of the rewards like infinite sprint or infinite ammo and believe me I could've used them. I think I hear that these will no longer be activity based so thats good/

Do want.
That is all. [sub][sub]Here is some random stuff to avoid a low-content post jkiasdvjkl;asdfnjkl;...[/sub][/sub]

edit: ok, I'll add a little more.
What I want for customization: More voices. More fighting styles. Get rid of the style system.
What I want for gameplay: The best part of SR2? They put in stuff I didn't even know would be awesome until I played it. So more of that. Surprise me, Volition!

Definitely. And I want more vehicle customization too. Strap a minigun to a crotch rocket like some Japanese version of Machete.... katana?
Bigger city & burbs would be cool too.

The only game I might be looking forward to more is Starhawk.

The thought of SR3 really just makes me want to play Mankind Is Yet To Recognize My Genius-Yhatzee's super-villain simulator game. It's about time that get made.

I'm excited, Saint's row 2 is one of my favorite games because of the insanity of it. its not serious and it focuses on fun over everything. games are missing that with their war/gang violent drama stories about generic people most of the time no one cares about and tries to feel real but isn't even close cause its a blatant copy of a game that did it right. WE NEED MORE GAMES THAT ARE JUST FUN. Saints Row: the Third will hopefully inspire that feeling.

I CANT WAIT FOR IT!!!!

I bought Saints Row 1 and Overlord at the sametime thinking that I might as well, and that I'd enjoy Overlord more... Almost a year later and I haven't beaten Overlord, but played the HELL out of Saints Row 1 and 2.
There's no other sandbox game that can stand up against it.
The combat is amazing. Side missions are varied and fun. Each mission progression is completely unique of any other progression in the series. And the story is amazing...

Watching the boat blow up at the end of the first game, made me feel a way I havent since watching Zach die in the end of Crisis Core (and that was the first FF game I played, so I had no idea what to expect.)

Saints row 2 was the best sandbox game ever made and the third one should be better as long as they keep the same gameplay style and the ludicrous amount of customization options. And still keep the cutscenes short and sweet, that's a deal breaker.

I just hope my character won't turn out to be an insane, psychopathic jackass. Some of the story missions you have to do in the SR2 were just unnerving (The Brotherhood anyone?).

They should have some good customization, plus they're going the route of The Movies with this release. Watch for a character creator program on Live/PSN around the game's release, or if you reserved Red Faction: Armageddon.

That aside, it's Saint's Row. My favorite open world crime on the 360. There's no way in hell I'll pass this game up.

Give me a Collector's/Saint's Version, and I'll be an even happier camper.

The only things I would to see them improve on with this game is simple-spruce up the graphics and iron on the glitches in the last game- they've had a couple of years to do so, I hope Volition is up to the task.
