Don't be a wuss, tommorow just say something along the lines of "We never had a real down-to-earth relationship, but I would like it if that changed. Want to go see a movie?" Of course doesn't have to be asked like that, I once saw some guy at my old high school say "I think your hot, let's go fuck" No joke, and even more suprisingly she said yes. (He was just trying to be funny... good thing she got it!)
I can't really date until I'm 15 (parents, but they could make an exception because I've known her forever), but I think I'd like to get to know her a little bit better before I do that.

BTW, are the two people you mentioned still together?

1. She couldn't give a shit about that note. Perhaps she even respects you more as she likes powerful men or such but let us not speculate.
2. Impossible to tell over an internet forum without obvious symptoms, but yes she may have hit puberty and now be attracted to you (which is what you want I guess).

I did something worse (not morally just more of a cock up... and sadly I don't mean literally).

At about your age a girl fancied me and wrote me a note, I don't remember what I felt about her at the time, I guess I wasn't "ready" for that kinda stuff anyway. Anyway, the long and short of it is I wrote a note back telling her to fuck off.

By my last year of school I had forgotten about it, but I found out that she cried had over the note afterwards (but by then it was a few years previous). I apologized at the time and she accepted it, not really bothered about the incident seen as it was years before as I said.

Well, now she is totally bone-able from my perspective. She'd probably do me too. But I haven't seen her in years and we may well never meet again.

The moral of the story is that nobody gives 2 shits about notes, not even the girl in your story.

Good luck, you have every chance in the world from my perspective.

Ha, emphasis on EX buddy. Anyway, you are still 14, still young, and still got your life ahead of you (Just like me!). Just remember that this girl may SEEM to be a soulmate or w/e (hell, she actually may be) but there are LOTS of nice girls out there, so don't feel hopeless or disenhearted. If parents are an issue, just spend lots of time together, and go to her house to "do your homework" if your lucky enough to spend some time alone. Man, back in the 9th grade I was dating this chick, I would spend soooo much time at her house while my parents thought I was "watching movies"

All that needs to be done is overcome the awkwardness between you two, after that you should be golden.

Nawwww, young love... so beautiful... and annoying. Anyway, she likes you I say just go for it. And I'm pretty sure you know this but you need us to reassure you, just go for it buddy. Be a man, but if you want my advice just take it slowly don't rush too much into it. No offense, and I'm saying this out of experience, 14 years old have a tendency to do a dick move and f*** it up. To avoid this, all you have to do is just take it easy and relax. THINK BEFORE YOU ACT!

Then again I just got out of a relationship, so perhaps I shouldn't be dispensing romantic advice.

Some more advice before 'the move'.

Try to watch a pro in action, not some fictional character off the television. Not particularly for any chat-up lines or such but just to see how easy it is to be confident around women without being a jackass. Make sure you don't get duffed up though...

Try to talk about her interests and such and find some common ground to talk about in a sensible manner, telling jokes and such. Basically its just like being with one of your homies except without the knob jokes. She'll probably want to talk about bands or what shes doing or some boring shit like that, just let her. Women like talking endlessly about trivial crap, if you pretend to listen then she'll love you for it. All you have to do is ask a few questions, if your skilled you'll be able to direct the conversation towards something interesting.

e.g. (THIS EXAMPLE SUCKS BUT IT DOES THE JOB)
female: I like barbie dolls. blah blah blah
you: Yeh, I think your right. How about that Ken though? You got one of those dolls?
female: Yes, blah blah blah.
you: Cool, hey do you think he could be Action Man in his spare time? like a secret identity? hehe
female: Hehe, yes that would be funny, blah blah blah action man
you: Yeh, Action Man rules

And if she doesn't laugh at the action man gag shes an idiot. Either that or your telling it wrong. Evaluate which and move on.

Because I'm too lazy to do quote trees:

Turtleboy: Epic win, and the best part is that she lives near by, so that trick might work.

Ace of Spades: This is a weird feeling I'm not accustomed to, lol

Omega: Yeah, and I think I know how.

Archemetis: Ouch, I've been there, except that everyone's hated me before.

Loween: Lol, that's what I was thinking: Talk to her more, apologize for that dick move in 6th grade, ask her our later.

Echetus: I'm good at pretending to listen (hell, I might even get involved), so I should be fine. Common ground is always a good thing.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

REALLY bad experiences with dreams. Other people's dreams. Or more specifically, my actions in other people's dreams.
Who would hold a dream against you? o_O
Well, it turned out all right.

My best friend(then and currently) had some sort of dream where I raped her and ate her flesh. It was, apparently, extremely vivid.
So yeah.

Wow, I can't see how that's your fault though.

Oh, it wasn't. It just gave her really bad flashbacks whenever she saw my face, for a while.

Learn sarcasm, you can say something really bad about something..

And if they react terribly to it, (Which they will) you can pull the sarcasm card.

Ya think.

Terrible time, though. She wouldn't tell me what was going on and she was avoiding me like the plague. Made me hate my life.

It wasn't too fun.
Maybe someone can learn from this.

Like don't give your let your friends fall asleep whilst watching Evil Dead, eating cheese, with a picture of you on the top of the television?

Thats about the only lesson I can think of.
