FemShep + Kasumi or Tali

That's all I want. I've been FemShep with Liara for the other games but I don't like Liara as much as Kasumi or Tali.

I just hope they remove the "any potential love interest will start hitting on if you talk to them enough no matter what you do short of being a total asshole." Seriously, I thought I was clear to Jack I was not interested and yet she still later told me I had no chance with her unless I broke it off with Tali. I also hope some characters cannot be same sex romanced and some cannot be opposite sex romanced. Not everyone is Bi after all, except for Asari of course.

No it isn't.

This makes me rage and facepalm at the same time. Asari are monogendered so technically it's not lesbian? Come off it! Liara is a woman with blue skin and a funky hairdo. There's nothing remotely monogendered about the Asari.
Mono meaning singular
Gender referring to the Sexual Organs of a given individual
All Asari have the same Sexual Organs, their race is monogendered.
They may all resemble woman, and they all may refer to themselves as woman but that doesn't change the fact that they as a species are all the same gender. Making your point invalid.

Yeah no kidding. I felt like I was navigating a mine field every time I started to talk to Jacob. I start talking to him and suddenly I have 3 conversation choices and all of them point to me hitting on him... I'm just like... uh what?!

And I would imagine that some characters would be very firm in their sexuality. I would think Garrus would be a Women only and Jack a Guy only, especially since Jack specifically states in ME2 that she has no interest in getting it on with a girl.

I'm pleased to hear this development but I really feel that Bioware are just trolling the shit out of the intolerant/immature (anti)fans they have.

This is good to hear, but seeing as how the other games had exclusively been hetero based in relationships, Bioware better make this new possibility of Shepperd being Homosexual or Bisexual seem natural.

You know, I hope they don't do like they did in Dragon Age 2 where everyone swings both ways. From a true, non-meta-gaming standpoint it's better if they don't. I'm not being bigoted. Everyone in the world is not bisexual. That's fact. I mean characters like Jack or Samara might go both ways, maybe Thane, but I don't see Jacob or Tali being the same reason.

All I'm saying is it's just unrealistic to have all bisexual characters than it is to have all straight. I'm all for all kinds, but I want it done right, not as some base-covering reflex. Which is the way Dragon Age 2 felt to me.

Although not a real relationship I count Kelly as a Lesbo love interest. This'll put more into the game, although my Fem Sheps will always go for hot Asari ass while Male will always go for Tali.

Why does this matter at all? do we need to have equal representation of all groups in every video game? I mean come on we can't make a big deal out of this sort of thing. Making a big deal out of this just makes it seem weirder.

why is any-one even remotly happy or even interested in this? does it make such a massive difference to a game? speaking as a homosexual i dont give a flying-pig if a game got sex of any description in it or not. afterall i can turn to my partner for such needs and its by far better than watching a blank screen with some "sexual" noises in the back-ground, dont know about the rest of you but i played mass effect not for the sex but for the story, atmosphere and too see the effects of a hand-nuke on the face of a giant mutant corpse-robot.
Male/male pairings are marketed to straight women.

Happy to confirm #ME3 supports wider options for love interests incl. same-sex for m&f chars, reactive to how you interact w/them in-game.

Finally! I'm so happy with this news, needed to share it!
If this is incorporated in a way that makes sense then I'm all for it! What I don't want to see is every character in the game being bisexual because that's just implausible (asari being the obvious exception).

the fucking resource mining minigame.
Probably because of the subject of the thread, but I read that as "the fucking/resource mining minigame."

Which would at least be an interesting way to gather resources.
Maybe BioWare will take Yahtzee seriously and make a minigame where Commander Shepard extracts resources from the throats of alien hotties.
...that's an interesting image. I wonder how much palladium an Asari can hide in her mouth...
Element zero, surely?

At least that'd make the arrogant Asari worthwhile.

Seriously, if you have to go to such lengths to convince yourself that you're not acting out a lesbian relationship...

Actually, she says the exact opposite. During her stories, she shares two or three accounts of girl love.

Lovely news. Thanks for sharing.
Personally, I do hope it's new characters (also has fingers crossed for actually gay characters a la New Vegas). I love the old characters, but if they wanted to sleep with my Shep, they probably would have said so already and not randomly turn to me years after meeting me and go "Yeah. I can try that now." xD
And I don't want the messing with personalities that are already quite well done.

to *everyone* saying that the asari aren't lesbian (and those saying they are), they very definitely aren't, but for entirely different reasons to those anyone's mentioned! specifically, lesbian implies exclusively getting with women. Asari are inherently bi-sexual (well, technically closer to pansexual) - gender is irrelevant to their relationships (of course, IIRC there are most likely exceptions...)
