anyone remember this awesome cartoon on toonami? i loved it as a kid because it had "gore" in a sense of robots spilling loads of oil when an arm gets cut off etc. it was also pretty dark and dystopian but i really loved it as it was something different than the other stuff on tv

Good God, I miss that show. Not just a good series by itself, but also one of the few examples of a show really trying--and very often succeeding--to transcend its genre that I can think of. It was a work of art, and I want it back.
