Well, tomorrow I'm taking the SAT. And to be honest, I'm shaking in my pants I'm so nervous. And I was wondering, if anyone here could give me some tips on what to do. Anything will do, I just need some advice.

And another thing you can add is if you've ever taken it and what your score was, that is, if you don't mind sharing it.

Don't worry, that will screw you up. Just relax, and think about something else. I spend most of my tests thinking about how I could kill the teacher. Either that or if everyone else turned into a zombie, how would I escape the room?

It's basically just a Common Sense test. Not that bad. Brush up on your high school Math and English.

My advice bro, and trust me, I've taken them twice, is don't let the test beat you. Don't let it overpower you. In simpler terms, don't let it tire you. It is very long and my biggest issue was mental endurance. Just focus, skip questions you don't know. There is no use in dwelling over questions you don't know, and it doesn't help to guess, unless you can narrow it down. So calm down, relax, and don't let the test outrun you.

Aah, the fabled SATs, popularized through American media.

Yes good sir, Norway's here to help. The entire next week I'm having my midterms, and my ritual before them is just to read up a bit, then clear my mind.

Seriously, don't think about it. The preparations are made through the classes earlier in the year, so if you've been paying attention, there's nothing to be afraid of.

If you didn't, prepare for some serious studying.

Good luck ;D

Just get lots of sleep, stay calm, and don't be afraid to skip questions.
Remember, if you mess up you can always do it over

Don't go to bed late, get a good breakfast, and don't stress out too much. If you stress out to much you can end up putting negative thoughts in your head. Don't worry, I myself have a test next week that I need to pass to graduate high school. You'll do fine, just believe in yourself and don't stress on it too much.

It doesn't matter very much?

Here, it's just a way for the teachers to look good.

Don't worry and do your best. If you do not so well(like me) just try to think on the positive.

Also, make sure to bring your calculator.

I took the ACT instead of the SAT, so I'm not exactly sure how it is, but as long as you relax, do your best, and make certain to approach it with a level of humility, you should be fine. That's how it works for me, at least.

I wish I knew what a SAT was.

What is a SAT?

I'm from the UK (Scotland specifically, given that the Scottish and English education systems work differently, could someone from across the water explain to me what a SAT is?

It matters a lot here. The better your score, more scholarships you get for college and also a better chance of getting into college. And there are also some colleges out there that won't even accept your application if you haven't taken it.

It's just a long test for sophomores-seniors in high school to take so they can get into colleges. The better the you do, the better colleges you can get in to.
