I woke up on the ground and knew that this sure wasn't Russia 1972. I looked around and Saw more soldiers and some Japanese woman. I threw my sniper rifle on the floor and drew my pistol.
"Ok. tell me who you lot are and W will be tempted not to blow all your brains out where you stand."
I awoke to find myself surrounded by strange people. Each had some sort of weapon. I saw that most had some strange augment made of metal, I had never seen it before. I quickly drew my weapon. The sword my father had given it. I was vastly outnumbered.
"Who are all of you? Tell me your names or I shall have you all beheaded."
"Woah! Calm down everyone...I don't want to hurt anybody." I could see that this would cause a problem...but in the end, it didn't look like we were even from the same time, never mind the same place.
"I'm Henry...how did you all get here?" I looked around to see magma and giant blood-pools all around.
I mumbled to myself, not thinking how loudly I had said it.
"Wow...that vortex was weird."
"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked the odd Japanese girl whilst sitting up, "You are speaking English you crazy woman. Now can somebody tell me where the hell we are?!"
"No. I'm talking English, as are you it seems. I'm Sergent Rachel Storey. Mission Commander of Operation Takeout. we were in Russia one second ago and now I'm.....god knows where. Anyway, who are you?"
I just sat on the floor, watching the unusual people bicker and argue. I looked around the room, it seemed to be made of polished black marble. Just a square room. A floor, walls and a roof. Then I looked at the others. That's when I got confused. I saw what looked like a princess from the east, a man in a uniform of the crimean, Then people holding strange guns. With long barrels and more metal than wood. SHIT! There was a Ruskie looking at me from across the room. I stood up, no-one took any notice of me as I walked round them. I got to the Ivan, and against all that I had been taught, offered my hand.
"I'm Alfred," I said in German, from what I'd seen, they all spoke German. I looked at Popov carefully, ready to act if he turned violent.
Feel free to interact with me, I don't want to wait round ElephantGuts. The Devil will be along soon.
I picked up my scoped G36C, I wasn't sure about this group, something bad was about to happen. I held the gun close to my body, looking at the others weapons, it would appear as though I had the most advanced weaponry out of this odd bunch.
That could be a nice advantage in case anything breaks out
"This is truly astounding...what a strange place." I said, trying to scrape some sticky substance out of my boots.
"So...Aiko, you're carrying a sword...your technology is a little backward isn't it?" I stared closely and examined the sword. It was very shiny and I could see a warped reflection of myself in the blade.
"Hey...Alfred? Do you have any idea what is going on?"
I turned round. He sounded american, but like the others, he spoke fluent German. I had no answer to the question he'd just asked. What puzzled me more is why the american was dressed in battle gear, and wet. The americans hadn't entered the war yet, even though everybody back home was sure that they would.
"No, I haven't a clue." I'd given up on the cold russian. He hadn't offered his hand and I grew weary holding out mine.
"What is your name american?"
I Slung my sniper rifle on my back and holstered my pistol.
[em] if i'm going to spend my time with these people, i may as well get to like them.[/em]
I took off my gillie suit and placed it inside my backpack. underneath, i was wearing a camo tank top and army trousers.
"I don't really like the look of this place. It doesn't seem right. anyway, I need to get back. my duty is to Britain and I need to stop the Cold War."
I stared at the strange man. He seemed to be wearing an unknown uniform. What country?
"Backwards technology? Sir only a chosen few are allowed to carry swords. And my sword is very advanced. It is made of the best steel in all of Japan. What weapon do you carry? It looks like something a child would play with."
