I remember waking up early every saturday and then waiting for 7oclock to come around and My favorite shows would come on in kidsWB and Foxkids. God I miss those days, everyback then was gold. I loved many shows, but my favorite had to be Digimon. I watched every season, even the odd 3rd one, and loved every minute of it. Imperialdramon was my favorite. Now I look at saturday cartoons now and its as if they dont even try anymore. I have to say the 90s was the best time for tv all together. Oh the memories. IMPERIAL LAZER!!!

God, we were idiots getting up this early on weekends...

But then again, there was the Tick, and the original animated Batman Series, Johnny Bravo, or better, the Adam West Live Action Batman Series. It taught me an appreciation for cheesy trash even at this early age.

Most people say this about the cartoons that were on when they were a nipper, but if you go back and watch them, they're actually mostly bollocks.

I've tried to watch some of the "classics" that were on when I was growing up, like Thundercats, but with a few exceptions they really haven't held up all that well.

I'd make hideous pacts with the unseen forces to have had today's cartoons on when I was growing up. Stuff like Avatar or Justice League are miles ahead of everything that was on when I was little.

Yeah, but that's the point. You love that stuff when you are younger and then looking back on it it seems all great and stuff, but actually looking back AT it makes you feel depressed.
I loved watching classic Looney Tunes. But you have to admit that there were some that were pretty good, but they frequently were nipped in the butt not long after they were made.

I remember waking up at around 6:00 AM to watch Scoobie Doo on television back in the early 70's. We had to creep out to the living room and maintain an exacting control over the level of the television, usually 1 was too soft and 3 was loud enough to wake our mother. When she awoke all hell would bust loose.

This was back when only four channels were available and if you slept past 9:00 AM, you were doomed to watching basketball or worse, golf.

God i hate to sound patriotic, but i can assure you the portuguese translation of the dragonball anime is one of the best. I watched it when i was a kid, and i can still watch it today due to the brilliant work with the translation. I cringe when i try to see dragonball in english/japanese/wtv. The translation was that good.

The shows i miss the most are ren and stimpy, biker rats from mars, dragonball (as already mentioned), Count duckula (i think that's the name) and looney tunes. I always hated tom and jerry, for some reason. That smartass-looking mouse deserves to be caught by the cat tbh.

Disney used to be cool back in the 90's, what the hell happend, huh?

Awesome shows like Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles are now replaced with nearly 4-year-old reruns of Recess and That's So Raven.

Most shows nowadays are, just like in the 90's, hit and miss. Some really are awesome (Justice League, that new Batman, Avatar), and will stand the test of time, but some are just crap (almost every other Nick show), and easily forgotten.

I remember watching the three different Sonic cartoons as a child (The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic SatAM and Sonic Underground). Funnily enough, upon re-watching them now, only Sonic Underground is diabolical.

Johnny Quest (The *Real* Adventures, which made me think at the time, "Where are the fake adventures?), Tintin...

Then, at age nine, I was exposed to Teknoman, the English dub (International version) of the anime Tekkaman Blade. I believe the bright colours struck a chord within me, as did what I feel is, to this day, the best English version of an anime attack ever: The Vol Tekka.

While the Japanese voice actor for D-Boy seemed a bit weedy, and the American version's VA merely uttered a pitiful "Tekno-Power Blasters!", the International version's VA must have nearly broken the microphone.

Anybody remember Power rangers. I know I do. That show was boring and the action sucked.

I remember back when I was in that show's target demographic. And everyone else I knew in said demographic agreed, Power Rangers was an abomination and we wished a slow death upon all those involved in making it. You know you failed spectacularly when your target audience deems you unfit for life.

My parents wouldn't let me watch power rangers. Now that I moved out I make sure the pink ranger is in everything I do.

I remember being into power rangers when I was about 8 or 9. I even went to see the movie with my mum. That is why she gets extra chocolate on Mother's Day

Good times. Some of the best shows were...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I especially liked the newer, darker one with the red sky)
Spider-Man (Spider blood, spider blood, radioactive spider blood *insane guitar riffs*)
X-Men (Best Intro music ever)
The Incredible Hulk
Mega Man (Super fighting robot.....MEGA MAN! Fiiiiiiighting to saaaaaave....THE WORLD!)
Pinky and the Brain

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9c2K4Jl5LI
Intro to Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. Never actually saw the show, but that intro rocks.
