I'd choose to save the world. When else am I going to get a chance to use my life to save an entire galaxy? I don't want to pass up my chance to be a hero. I have enough idealism left in my bones for that.

I'd do it. I'd have a clean conscious if I won the war and when I got home I'd be a more than above average human powers and I'd be able to communicate to the species and since they have super brains I'd be able to learn many new things from them and be able to pass them off to the rest of the human race.

Well the chemical only enhances to a "certain extent" it doesn't grant unlimited power. And being that they are physically weak to begin with, the enhancement would only give them the strength of any average human or less. Which clearly isn't enough, since even a human needs the chemical enhancement to even stand a chance.

Scenario:

At this moment, you have been teleported across several galaxies unto another planet (we'll call this planet Pmal). Once you've arrived, the aliens or "Pmaliens" explain to you that they have been invaded by a force that they cannot physically rival, because their (Pmaliens) mental capabilities develop greatly while their bodies remain ill suited for any kind of combat. They've calculated that within a years time, planet Pmal will have been taken over completely and every Pmalien will have been killed off by the invaders

They have brought you to planet Pmal because your human strength is capable of defeating their invaders and saving planet Pmal. To aid you in the fight, they have formulated a chemical that can enhance the strength of a person to a certain extent. Everything about you will be enhanced, your jump height, your speed, and overall strength, the effects will be permanent. (you won't be super-human but you will be pretty damn impressive)

The catch is that these enhanced abilities won't give you a definite upper hand in the battle, rather it will give you the power to run through all the minor minions and have a pretty evenly matched battle with the "Big Bad" in charge. ( the equivalent of a video game final boss) As with all adventures, there is a good chance you will die. So, what will you choose to do?

Accept the powers and try to save planet Pmal?(you can go back to earth afterwards)

Or, go home knowing Pmal will be taken over and an entire alien race will be exterminated?

Is earth in any way threatened? If not, then why should I help people who just kidnapped me and wish to use me as a shield against their enemies?

Take the enhanced abilities enslave the population of pmaliens, make them develop me some kind of mega gun vaporising thing, which they would be able to do due to their enhanced menatal capacity and rape the enemy force with this weapon, then once they are dead make 2 pmaliens fight to the death and the winner gets pie or something. Why don't they just create an army of someting, like robots etc?

Well if you're already thinking about the safety of Earth at that point, I'm sure you would be thinking about that a lot more if you decided to go back to Earth without helping. Maybe the Earth would be next in line maybe not, the only information you would have is that there are invaders out there with the power to take over at least one planet so far.

Is there any opportunity to learn more about the enemy? Or learn more about what the actual war is about before making my choice? Or would it need to be a quick choice?


All and all I would go along with it. If we win, then there is a whole world full of aliens that is grateful to me. Also if they can beam one person from Earth to Pmal, it could lead to an intergalactic exchange of information and trading leading to the Earth venturing further out into space.

Plus as been said before, what is to stop the enemy from tracing the teleportation back to Earth if I left, leading them right to our home world

Help them of course. I have a question though. What type of weapon would I be using? It seems in this scenario that guns may be too effective for maters at hand. Would that mean I get to use a sword or lance of some kind? If so do I get to practice with said weapon? I'd help regardless, but it'd so much cooler to wipe out hordes of minions with a short range weapon.

I'd do it. If I survived then I would be known forever as the man that united our two species in an interplanetary alliance. If I died, I would have died single handedly fighting an alien invasion. Win/win either way.
