Played Rome Total War, Barbarian Invasion, and just as I was about to complete my Franks campaign, my save bugged out. I was pissed.

I also lost a TimeSplitters 2 save file on the GameCube, which particularly hurt as I had just about every gold medal/character in the game. My new one has pretty much everything back now, so I couldn't care less.

In BioShock 2 I beat one area, got on the train, and started off to (I think) Siren Alley when the game froze at the load screen. While I didn't actually lose a save, I did lose the last several hours of gameplay because I didn't save. I was pretty mad, but luckily I had my girlfriend to "distract" me afterwards.
One time I shut off my PS2 too early while Tekken 5 was saving. Grinded my way back up again.
Also lost my Divine Nine-set character in Oblivion due to formatting (even when I had the save files BACKED UP) and had to re-grind the arduous wayshrines of the Nine to get the fucking armor back.

Ah.. my legenday Pokemon Gold team of level 100 pokemon (Typhlosion, Lugia, Ampharos, Tyranatar, and Octillary all level 100) with about 15 other level 100's in the PC. Took me a long long time to do all that and then it vanished one time. Corrupt data my ass. I went ape for quite some time. Oh well, I'll have to get the new heart gold and build them up all over again.
On my PS1 my Spyro saves kept dissapearing like fucking crazy.
I used one of those 3rd party memory cards, that was like 2 in one.
But yeah, Had all 3 games beat, then they all dissapeared. Did it again, same thing happened.
Games are lucky that they're so damn fun, or else bad stuff would have happened to them.

It wasn't too bad because I got to do it all again and I got the old team of 5 back, but the magic was lost, it never lived up to the original team. That was the worst part of losing the saves for me.

I had a lvl. 67 Bottle-Rocket(Custom Class). I couldn't even look at it so I shut it away in my closet for 2 days,then started over again.
I ended up smashing my Silver version with a hammer because its internal battery died.
Damn it!

On Star Wars: Reble Strike for the GC I had best ever medals for about half of the levels and gold for the rest as well as having found all the tech upgrades, that file mysteriously got corrupted and I've never managed to get all my medals back.
Also my awsome lvl 40 Oblivion character got corrupted I must have ploughed 80 hours into him and then he was gone.

i managed to get into the Hoan region on my Pokemon Silver game, but at this time i was with my mum minding my dads house, left the next day, forgot the Gameboy...BAM! Gamboy gets stolen, along with yellow, blue, gold and a few other games for the GB
i was upset for days :{
and before all this, like a year before, my "ASH" character on yellow suddenly changed his name to Darren...i hated my cousin for that poor Pikachu, he was a high level as well =( along with Blastoise, Charizard and Venosaur =(
