Seems this already turning into the debate of whose opinion matters more, circular logic, misunderstanding and namecalling. Ok, if it's going to be that way then I have a paper due for Monday, see you then.

He's not saying that everything that's popular is popular because it's good. He's saying there's a chance that it is. There's a chance that you might not enjoy it, because in the end, it's all about personal preferences.

It's equally fallacious to think that everything that's popular is shit than it is to think the opposite.

While things did need an update im not sure what XII did was the best move for it.
1. Introduce new Summons/GF/Aeons
This is fine FF X proved that this can work but only if you make them intresting, personaly the espers in XII were not good and hardly worth the effort ofgetting.

2. Make the main Character a cool relateable guy with genuine emotional baggage.
I dont know when this fell out of favour but generaly saying i did not like tidus or vann because in the cercumstances they were just to optamistic.

3. The Battle System.
ATB was a Good battle System so was the Kingdom Hearts Real Time Battle system put togther not so much.

On an indervudual note something else that bugs me is whats become Of Omega and Ultima weapon. why have they become such Pussies now it used to be the hight of FF glory to beat them, well omega anyway.
