I fully appreciate everything you said, and agree wholeheartedly. If more people just took the time to calm down and relax, they'd find their experience to be a lot more enjoyable. So many seem ready to rage at a hair-trigger over any detail that appears to slights them, to the point where they become blinded by their preconceived notions:
The completely illogical "I don't need to play it to know it sucks" thought-process.
The "I won't even use the Auction House, or be affected by it, but the game must be evil for including it" idea.
And my personal favorite: "All I wanted was (essentially) a prettier Diablo 2, and since this isn't that, it automatically fails".
Now I don't care at all for the always-online DRM, but what do I do? Chill out and just enjoy the game. That strategy seems to be working for me just fine. Annoying? Sure it is; it's bitten me in the ass twice already for crapping out at a major moment. But I get over it, and you can too.

I tried it and didn't much care for it, but occurs to me that maybe the reason not too many people are around heaping praises on it is because they're playing the game and having fun rather than spending their time making the same three complaints about a game they didn't approve of over and over.
I enjoyed your post; your stance is an uncommon one. You appear to have the capability of acknowledging the potential merits of an opposing viewpoint; again, an uncommon trait in this day and age
