They published the James Pond series. The 3rd game was my childhood.

They give a fair amount of support to PC and their ports are always pretty good (some people complained about Dead Space 1 but I didn't have any issues; it ran great and looked good enough for me).

They have some talented developers under their belts. The first couple of games in any given franchise are usually quite good, even if they all eventually seem to die after a lacklustre-to-terrible final installment.

They stood up against the assholes who were complaining about gay OPTIONS in ME3.

I'd rather thank BioWare themselves for Mass Effect, instead of EA, but yeah, I seriously liked, scratch that, loved the Mass Effect series, especially ME3 with it's ending and all.

As for everything else... well, they greenlit American McGee's Alice (2000) and Clive Barker's Undying, I also loved Populous The Beginning, I had many hours of fun with the Sims, especially 2 (3 didn't happen) and I kinda liked the Crysis games, not my favorite series, but they were fun. And say whatever you want about Bulletstorm, but it was fun (not great, just fun enough).

I also liked the PC version of Dead Space 1 (played with a 360 controller), I can't comment much on 2 because I haven't played it yet.

EA: You tend to hire good development teams like Visceral and BioWare. Ease up on them, and they might crank out even better games.

EA were great when they were still Electronic Arts and they still remembered how to support the up-and-comer, and not turn the concept of "support" into "purchase and gut, keeping names and logos and intellectual properties but release gutpuke in their stead and under their name" kind of bullshit.

Any more, I don't have much nice to say. They used to be the good guys...a long, long time ago.

They're not openly hostile toward their PC customers. Like some other publishers that we won't mention....

...Ubisoft.

I'm pretty sure you missed the point, the point isn't to stem the hate on EA, and it isn't browbeating if they don't force it out of you, if you don't want to answer you can simply choose not to, and if a person did grudgingly say a tiny good thing about them, that this has done it's purpose.
1. I did answer honestly already, so please don't pull that nonsense.

2. It kind of is the point, whatever you may say. And in the end, "say something nice about something bad" is really just masturbation.

If you don't like me pointing this out, then you can simply not post about me. Oh look, it goes both ways!

I can easily say nice things about EA. I mean, for all the bad that they have done they still released BF3 and Mass Effect's 2 and 3. All three of those are listed among my favorite games.

Something nice about EA...

Well, they were an okay, only slightly evil publisher years ago. They helped publish some pretty great games, though they barely had anything to do with them beyond funding really.

But really? There's not much to say in their favor anymore. I mean, seriously, pick a week from the past four years and I can point to something egregiously stupid or blatantly evil that EA did or said during that week. Sometimes towards gamers. Other times towards the industry as a whole.

So I guess my 'nice' thing to say to EA is, "You used to not be colossal dickweeds."

Superb job on Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. Love that game so very much
Also to avoid a low content or people misunderstanding or assuming that i'm 'Trolling' by naming a 'future game' I'm talking about THIS GAME:

EA supports the LGBT community and stood up against people who protested against games like Mass Effect 3 having an option to be gay.

That, to me, is enough of a good thing for me to not hate EA at all.
This and they have published some truely good games. Sometimes I think people hate on EA because 'its the cool thing to do'.

No, Just no. I won't say anything nice about EA, because I have nothing nice to say about EA. And that will never change. Do I have anything nice to say about any game companies? Not really. They are all thieves. There are only a very small number of exceptions to that.
They have never kidnapped anyone from my family.

I appreciate that.

No.

If you believe this you've never done any research on the matter.

Otherwise you are lying and I know you aren't a liar, so I'll just assume you've never looked at their track record in a matter that doesn't involve nit picking out good moments or actions taken 10+ years ago.

With the exception of indie companies, possibly Blizzard, and 2K. They have consumed and dismantled every-single-company I ever truly adored.

I've liked a lot of games and game companies, but all the ones that I'd wear a "fan shirt" for were ripped to shreds after their IPs were bastardized by EA.

You don't fuck with that many things and not make some enemies.

But, yes, I am happy they didn't join the bandwagon of treating LBGT people as second class citizens. But that has nothing to do with them as a gaming company that has to do with them as human beings.

Just like I don't care if Oil companies support Gay Marriage, they are still treating oil spills like jokes [got friends in Curacao which just got hit with a spill].
