Well, it has to be said how awesome the music was.

[small]Which was good, considering Jack Wall wasn't part of the team, unlike the previous games.[/small]
I really liked the soundtrack despite that fact as well. I still don't know why they didn't have Jack Wall come back for at least one or two tracks. He's the reason ME1 has my favorite ME soundtrack still.
Clint Mansell did the soundtrack if I'm not mistaken. He's done amazing work on movies (the Fountain, Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan).

I was upset when I learned Jack Wall wasn't the composer, but damn they got a nice upgrade with Mansell.

Sam Hullick was there in all three games and did a great job as well. He kind of gets overshadowed even though there are plenty of great tracks he did on his own.

you're a touch late, friend. There's been a bajillion[footnote]and by bajillion I mean about 7 or so[/footnote] of these threads already.

To give my two cents and avoid low content, I'm gonna repeat the same thing everyone else has said - the entire game[footnote]Combat, emotional scenes, awesome scenes, chilling with Garrus, Thresher Maws, etc etc.[/footnote] up to the finale was fantastic. It wasn't perfect, and it could have used more 'your choices cause actual significant variation in the story' as the game had been advertised, but all in all it was very good until that end sequence.

EA should have given bioware a few more months to polish up the game - I would have loved them for it.

I've recently started it again after doing the whole series as a renegade vanguard.
I still really enjoy Mass Effect 3. I love all the cameos from previous squad members and the multiplayer is a real blast.

The only thing I miss? Having a Krogan in the squad. I love the bastards.

Wasn't aware of him, have to check him out. I just remember hearing the 'Leaving Earth' track right after listening to a piece from The Fountain, and a light bulb went off in my head, like "This sounds familiar!"

I came in here to say, ME3 had a great soundtrack. All composers involved :)

I almost cried when Tali killed herself :(

Great game and the ending wasn't as rage inducing as everyone made it out to be.

Something nice about Mass Effect 3? The multiplayer is surprisingly good (great, really, it's one of my favorites), and the gameplay is ver fluid and fun.

Aside from that, the characters are, for the most part, great and very enjoyable. For the most part.

It's the only game that's actually made me tear up... and I'm just got past Palevan. That's good writing.

I think the reason so many people rage at it is because it was so amazing and up until the end I loved it. Nearly everything was fantastic about that game, even with a terrible ending it remains one of my favorite games and one of my favorite series of all times. I still even go on the Multiplayer with friends, something I didn't expect.

We acted like hurt lovers :)

Me, I loved most of the game. Here are the reasons why:

1): The return of my favorite characters, namely Garrus and Tali. They haven't changed a bit, and I wouldn't want them to. They are literally Shepards best bro, and the little sister he never had, provided he or she doesn't romance one of them.

Joker and EDI are also great to have back, since they make a wonderful double-act. Oh, and Wrex and Mordin. And Thane, who got much cooler this time around. And Kirrahe! And lets not forget about Grunt, and Legion. Actually, hell, lets say most of the characters from both Mass Effect 1-2, its great to see pretty much all of them again.

2): The arrival of some great NEW characters to interact with, namely Eve, Cortez, and yes, Vega. At first, I thought I'd hate him. But, I grew to like him. Hes not Garrus-level awesome, not even close. But, I definitely like him better than Jacob, who I was lukewarm about at best.

Eve, on the other hand, was an excellent look into the Krogan from a different perspective. It was touching, and added to the emotional weight behind curing the Genophage.

And lastly, Cortez, who also forms a great double-act with Vega. I wouldn't romance the guy, but hey, hes a good friend.

3): The resolution to most of the things Shepard has involved himself with over the course of the first two games, namely the Genophage and the war between the Geth and Quarians.

Genophage? I CURED THAT *****. Geth and Quarians? You two best wear some pretty friendship bracelets, or Shepard is gonna pistol-whip some fools.

... Seriously though, it was fun making peace and curing the Genophage, and it made me feel like I was not only doing the right thing in general, but doing right by my friends, Wrex, Eve, Legion and Tali.

4): The combat. Other than minor complaints about controls (I play the 360 version, and I have to say, the A button is used for a little too much. The problem is, I wouldn't know what button would be better suited.), the combat feels smooth, tight, and fun. And that brings us into 5...

5): The guns. My babies, the Mattock, Phalanx, and the Geth Plasma Shotgun are back, and they are now VANILLA, which is awesome! I loved those guns so much. And now, they've come out with more bringers-of-death than before. The Arc Pistol? The Talon? The Hornet? The Black Widow and Javelin? Oh, come to daddy.

And lets not forget the new Firefight guns, the Harrier, Geth Plasma SMG, and the Reegar. So much yes.

6): The dialogue, and the humor. Some examples:

"This is now my favorite spot on the Citadel!", "Why does the Alliance hire pilots with brittle-bone disease?", "Don't worry Shepard, I don't forget to recycle the Normandy's oxygen unless I've discovered something truly interesting.", and the awesome lines and scenes go on.

The Citadel Date with Garrus. Drunk Tali. Talking to Wrex for the first time in the War Room. Mordin singing Krogan Queen. Everything with Joker.

7): The heart-wrenching scenes. Thane dying made me cry, and I'm not ashamed to admit it, because that shit was Hughes-death levels of sad. And that was following Mordins death, which was just as hard for similar reasons. And then Legion. Goddamn Cerberus and the fucking Reapers, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KEEP KILLING MY SQUADMATES!!

8): Going off of 7, this one deserves a number of its own: Killing Kai fucking Leng. Stay down, *****, you want Shepard to be done with you after you killed Thane. Feel lucky I didn't kill you in a more cruel and unusual fashion.

It's not hard to say something nice about Mass Effect 3. It was a brilliant game. Loved the combat and story, the multiplayer was fun and the ending was alright. There you go. Nice things.

...I'll be your friend, Mass effect. It's okay. Shhh.
Pretty much what this poster said. Not to mention I just played the Leviathan dlc and I highly recommend it. Also, I was able to trade it in today and put it towards my Assassin's Creed 3 pre-order.

Personally ME3 is among my favourite game ever, I wasn't even really pissed off at the ending and I'm rather bum that people seem to to only focus on that when the the game gives such a rich experience.

Thraser Maw vs Reaper is the perfect concept. The only problem is there was no way to play as one or the other but as a short film, it was freaking breathtaking and negates...I dunno, 30 seconds worth of Bad people are still aggrieved about.

The multiplayer was a big risk to take as it hadn't been done before, but it was really REALLY fun. I just bought Xbox Live Gold to play it again.

The Retake Earth mission was very well crafted and probably one of the most intense moments I have played through since Second Sight. It was very scary and real I was on the edge of my seat until the part where my seat became abandoned for several days while I thought I was being tricked.

I am willing to say its arguable the best game in the series.

Combat: great
music: teh awesome
companions: all feel as if there alive and instead of a bunch of pixels
Dialogue: all of it feels natural and not forced, also not cheesey.
graphics: Breathtaking
story: the great finally!

Though then again mass effect 1 and 2 did suffer for being only thirds of the story, with number 2 suffering more for being in the mid. Also the combat of mass effect 1 was well, awful, awful enough to not make me want to contiune playing, its that bad, or repative.

No the combat of mass effect 2 and 3 is not as repeative as 1s, for mass effect 1 you just stand there shooting down foes until there dead mid to late game.

All in all, Mass effect 3 is a great game, one of this years best, though most people are going to bitter about it since ea, the ending, bioware, or being jerks...
