I just got a copy of the original PS1 "Metal Gear Solid" for $5 (they didn't have it on file, so they had to mark it as MGS 2) when I started talking about having never played it before, the employee ran to the back and pulled it out. He said that it got mixed up with the other games and they didn't want to get rid of it, but they also had real place on the shelves for it. After finding "Shadow of the Colossus" and "Beyond Good & Evil" a few weeks before. Now, if only they had "Ico"...

Also, this is my first time ever playing a Metal Gear Solid game that wasn't the shitty "Portable Ops" on PSP...Any tips?

Mine is pretty good just because I like the people who work there, but they don't carry any games before PS2, they have bullshit prices on games and they don't give you shit for trading in games.

I just traded in a brand new Darksiders and got 26 dollars for it.

And about tips, I don't know. Its pretty self explanitory. Prepare for a great fucking game.

We don't have GameStop over here. Plus, nobody sells gamecube-era games anymore. That sucks baad.

Well...... A GameStop Lady and me had a very nice conversation about the artistic elements in "300".

She was pretty cool.

Well, how much did you expect for Darksiders? After all, they're in the business of making money, and if no one buys your copy of Darksiders (I've seen some games on the shelf for a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time), they gave you money and got nothing for it.

I don't have a gamestop but I do have an awsome game store and a music store that sells anything up to NES games. So that's pretty sweet.

I hope they didn't get anything for it.

That company sucks. I love the guys there though.

Nice staff, terrible company.

My GameStop is really good as well. They actually do have a copy of Ico on the shelves, but I can't afford it right now. Mine has some really cool guys that work there that actually know answers to your questions and will talk to you instead of the robotic bored looking guys that work at the other GameStops in my area.

The only complaint I have about Gamestop is that they don't give you much for trade-ins. Other than that, I'm good with it. Their prices for new games are pretty much the same as everywhere else. Used games could be cheaper, but I've gotten some good deals from them before, so that doesn't bother me much. They also have some pretty good pre-order bonuses most of the time. So, yeah, overall, I've never had much to complain about with Gamestop, but that's just me.

My gamestop is pretty good. The manager that worked there quit, which is sad because he was great.

$5? Sure as hell beats the prices online.
As for tips? Remember that the guards aren't very adept at seeing, unlike normal guards (Which is funny, as Genome soldiers are "advanced,") so you don't need to worry about being in plain sight - just so long as you're out of the cone.

Also: be sure to grab the thermal goggles in the warehouse. They aren't necessary, but it makes beating the game a bit easier.

Mine is alright, there was this one kinda snobby employee who used to work there, otherwise I've never had a bad time with Gamestop.

Now, ordering from their website, however...

I have a games plus near where I live and they are whom I deal with for older games. It's like a gaming antiques store! They'll sell used (and sometimes never opened) N64's, PS1's, Sega Genesis', etc. They don't have a large stock of new games though, so if they're out, I'll go to Game Stop.
