I think the scariest animal smaller than my foot is a wasp. It flies, it stings, it bites, they're comonly in groups of hundreds and their reproduction makes lots of them quickly.

Really, really tiny aliens, with proportionally large guns that make your face feel like it's on fire. and they all look like Rosie O' Donnel.

Spiders, oh gods spiders.
I hate wasps/bees/etc but I don't have a full on phobia for those (although is it a phobia when they can actually do damage?)

All insects scare me. But spiders are the worst. It creeps me out just thinking about them

Fire Ants.

Stung my hands and are attracted to my PC. Buzz off the PC, biting my hand is one thing, messing with my PC is another.

Speaking of Cracked.com, this fits the subject perfectly.

As for me, I may have to go with Japanese hornets or bot flies, though. There are other things that scare me, but when the thing starts having air superiority, I start running.

Sydney Funnel Web Spider

A Spider roughly two inches long, drawn to warm dry environments (like your house), extremely aggressive, will willingly attack creatures many thousand times it own size (like you), locking fangs that cannot be shaken out (that's right you gotta reach down and pull), a tendency to strike repeatedly (that thing in your hand? still wants to bite you), a disproportionatly hard carapace that can resist serious crushing forces (like your foot), fangs long and powerful enough to pierce human nails, oh and the small matter of a venom specifically evolved to kill primates (that's you again) so toxic that it can potentially kill within 15minutes of being bitten. Should you be given antivenom you will most likely survive, but the bite itself has a chance of developing into a necrotising sore that could lead to the amputation of the bodypart.

Worth noting nobody's been killed by one of these things since 1981, but still.
