Oh man, several have freaked me out.

1) When I was really little I dreamed that I got out of bed and sat on the can to take a dump, and this little gremlin creature came out of the toilet and clawed chunks of flesh out of my butt. That image is still scary.

2) In high school I was having some troubles in a relationship (if you can call them relationships at that point) and had a few strange dreams, but one really stands out. I was walking for what seemed like days on a dry beach. It never became light out, and I never heard or felt the water; it was a completely still ocean. Finally I saw this run down house on a dune and went inside. I stumbled around in the darkness until I saw a door with light in the cracks at the top of the stairs. I opened the door and saw my then-girlfriend sitting perfectly straight up in a wooden chair in a spotlight with her back to me; everything became too dark to see except for this chair in the spotlight. I called out to her--nothing. So I walked over to her and looked at her--she had no face, just flat skin where her features should have been. I recoiled in terror, and her head quickly jerked up to "look" at me. I woke up screaming. We broke up the next day.

3) This week I had an exam at 9:30am one day. My girlfriend woke me up at 8am before she left; I remember this and she said I had been sitting up. I must have fallen back asleep. I dreamed vividly that I got up, got ready, rode my bike to university, and walked up to the room where the exam was. I stopped just before entering, though, took a deep breath, and looked straight up. At this point I woke up in my girlfriend's apartment, looking at the bright red alarm clock numbers reading 9:46am. Fuck.

after i saw the film clip for Closer by Nine Inch Nails for the first time i kept having dreams involving animals being tortured (like the crucified monkey) and this stuff to do with people getting their brains removed while they're awake

and i always seem to have heaps of zombie dreams involving people i know, but those are probably more fun than scary

scariest dream I had would have to be where my friends burned my house down with me in it killing me, then next thing I could remember was me rising from the grave killing them each in brutal ways they even found one of my friends bodies in his bedroom with the words: guess who`s back written with his blood, man freaks the shit outta me.

This wierd dream where I'm the last person left on Earth (at least, as far as my dream-self can tell). The feeling of mingled isolation, terror and loneliness is singularly unpleasant.

Okay, well I was adopted alongside my blood brother and so one of the creepiest dreams I've ever had involved both of us...

I always knew my real father worked on cars, so in this dream we were assisting him. My brother and I were supposed to lift the front end of the car. I however has very very little muscle mass (LONG STORY) and slipped and dropped the car. It landed on my real father, and it cut off my brothers feet, so there I sat as I had just smooshed my dad, and essentially murdered my brother...

Needless to say, I still have problems with crying before I sleep, and even in my sleep. It is embarrassing and prevents me from getting any sleep far too often.

Yes, I am in and have been in therapy... Also, I have dreams like this involving different loved ones, so suffice to say; I don't sleep much. Perhaps that's why I'm still up on here?

well I was (and on a few occasions) afraid of zombies tbh. Id always have dreams where everything was normal and such, then there would be news passed around of zombies... fastforward way on. im in my house surrounded by zombies, they break in and I run to my room and close the door, then the break in and right before im about to get eaten i wake up on my bed in a cold sheet of sweat....

same ending but different scenarios.

damn. it takes me forever to go back to sleep after one of those dreams.

Is it a bit unhealthy to of never had a nightmare, or freaky dream within that description? Honestly, I've never had the pleasure of waking up in a cold sweat.

A couple of years ago I had a dream that I still remember too well. I was out running errands with my best friend's wife and I was driving her car. We had to go under a bridge and when we came out the other side we somehow were close to where I was working with my friend at the time even though it's 20 miles from where we started and I was going to pick my friend up from work even though I should have been there working too, I don't know why I wasn't. As we get closer there's a road that's one long curve and as we get to about the middle of if the car start hydroplaning on dry pavement and we end up in a field that was dry just before we went of the road but now the car sinks and I wake up as it fills with water.

What really creeped me out was that was on a Monday and that Friday night I was out running errands with her while he stayed home and watched their kids and we ended up driving under that same bridge where the dream got all fucked up.

I actually had one other nightmare recently. It involves my ex-girlfriend. I guess I was in a sort of half awake/asleep state but I remember lying there, and seeing her just walk into my field of vision dress up in leather and all this dominatrix gear. I couldn't move, no matter how hard I tried to move my arms or legs. She then pulled out a whip and started lashing at me with it, all the time calling me a freak and a pedophile, which she actually called me behind my back I found out later after I broke up with her. She proceeded to start putting pins in my legs and stomach, like something out of Audition, she would sometimes just put them under the skin and rip them out and all I could do was scream silently. It just kept getting more and more freaky, at one point she pulled out an exacto knife and started slicing my chest up with it. I remember hearing laughter through out it and remembered looking up to see two of her friends standing at the end of my bed just standing there laughing at me. The pain just kept increasing, and believe me when I say that by the time things were just about done I was ready to tear their throats out. It felt like it went on for an hour, last thing I remember was finally feeling my arms and legs just wake up and I bolted up right screaming, I had my hand raised and clenched in a fist ready to pound one of their faces in. But it was just me in the early dusk light. I swear, I never thought that S&M was cool at all, and I certainly have no feelings towards my ex or her friends. But that was one of the few dreams I've ever bolted up right out of bed from.

I always have the classic chase dream...I keep trying to run, but my legs feel like they're in molasses. I can't move, I can't get away, and whatever is chasing is going to catch up sooner or later, and there's nothing I can do and nowhere I can go--just try to run, my mind screaming in a panic.

Though recently, I got around that--I had started running on all fours in my dreams a lot, and when I started having one of those awful chase dreams, I just dropped to all fours and got away.

Awesome possum. Take that, my dreams.

1. The main early childhood nightmare I can remember was when I was lying in a crib (even though I wasn't a toddler) and I sat up, looking at the open bedroom door. I ended up standing up, holding my baby blanket, then this clown type toy all of the sudden comes up to me. It grabs my face and it puts it right in front of his, and says 'Look into my eyes.' Scared the living fuck out of me.
2. Early in the dream, there was something about riding in a car down the road with these people/characters in it, and I all of the sudden realize in my dream that it is a dream. I look over to the driver and ask them, and they say something about it not being a dream. I end up in a big, gray cell, with concrete walls and floor. I'm kneeling on the floor, screaming and crying, and I'm trying everything in order to wake up, but I just can't manage, too. Yeah..no wonder I had sleeping problems after that.

I can`t really recall all my dreams fully but I do remember bits of them mostly involving porcelian(sp?)dolls but one I do remember a bit having featured a doll that wore a black dress and hovered a couple of feet above the ground and it was set in a forest with a road that goe`s inbetween it that is notorius for car related incidents and has no form of lightsource apart from the cats eyes. So it starts with me in the middle of the road running and her chasing me but thats all I can remember of it, but I do remember waking up and having to turn the light on and sit for about 10 minutes before I could even shut my eyes and attempt to sleep.

AHAHHAHAHA HOW FUNNY

I barley ever dream. When I do dream it's always bizarre garbage that I forget about in 2 days. The only dream I remember from my childhood was when a giant squid broke my spine.

I had a dream once, when I was like 5, that my grandmother turned into a crow and was sitting on one of our wall lamps. She would just sit there and stare at me and right before I woke up, came flying at my head. I was a messed up child!
