I'm curious what kind of enemies scare you?

Mine is the Mad Moai from Dragon Quest IX:

Thanks TRR, I was blind typing. Funny thing though... "Terry". XD

What enemies terry me? Interesting, but I know what you mean.

Basically anything out of Dead Space. But definately the scariest for me are the Twitchers. They are easily the fastest in the game but what makes them really terrifying is how erratic their movements are. Think zombie Usain Bolt with blades for arms having a constant seizure.

While i can agree with the creeper, i have resently been scared out of my mind by some of the monsters in Dead Space 2, although mostly, it was due to the way they appear, as in dropping down behind you unexpectedly, and not so much their appearance, though that is still pretty scary.

The monsters from Amnesia are really freaking me out, but that's at least partially due to the excellent music. I'm stuck in the sewers, I know he'll spawn right behind me when I open the door :'(

There is only one monster who has literally made me unable to sleep or turn the lights off

Deadhand from Ocarina of Time. The worst part about him is that you have to intentionally let him catch you in order to beat him.

I had nightmares because of him as a child.

The wolf at the beginning of Penumbra had my heart up in my throat. Dear God.

There's probably a less-than-recent example but something tells me my brain blocked it out.

The first monster in Amnesia: The Dark Descent, me and my friend named him jimmy so we were less scared. And francis you have to face him, I've made it through the game by every time there is a monster I just yell at it and run into it and let it kill me, then its gone the next time.

Regenerators still give me the creeps after 3 or 4 times playing through Resident Evil 4. That breathing is just creapy, and even with every other monste rin the game they still take the cake,

Although this guy gave me one hell of an oh shit moment when after I got tired of shooting at it with a shot gun it simply waved its finger in the air.

I deliberately avoid horror and horror-related games, so my list is naturally smaller.

That said...those goddamn Nobodies from Devil May Cry.

I think they're cute.

Man...I'm messed up. Scary as in gross or scary as in "OhshitOhshitOhshit"

Because this guy would take the cake:

Surprised he wasn't here already

Scary as in gross.

If I wanted scary as in "OhshitOhshitOhshit," I'd say the Shadow, instead.

And part of that is because their appearance is always accompanied by <url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEaBuf8q6Hw>Psycho Siren. It only takes being skewered, grabbed, and exploded twice before you just instinctively jump (in-game...and possibly out-of-game, too) whenever you hear it.

I will give my stock-standard answer and say bloodsuckers from STALKER. You hear rasping and running footstep you'd better start moving

Without a doubt it's the unseen one that you know is close. Okay so it's the monkeys in System Shock 2.
