Me and a friend were at a field surrounded by barbed wire, and one of the poles was broken at the bottom, so he pulled it down with his foot, and released it, like a catapult.
The barbed wire zipped through my right upper wrist and I didn't even notice until the blood came gushing out. No pain at all, just a really long and deep cut.

That happened like 2 years ago, and now I have an awesome white diagonal scar on my wrist.

I've got one on the back of my left hand from being bitten by a dog. There's a small one under my lower lip from when I fell onto the corner of a coffee table as a toddler, though I don't really remember getting that one. Then there's one on my right index finger from a hot-glue accident, and one on my inner-right thigh from the same accident.

Let's see, I've got about 6 to 10 small ones on my hands that I lose and find every now and then from all the stupid stuff I did when I was a little kid. Everything from blowing up branches to melting army men (and then having the wax drip off and land on my thumb and burn a nice little circle scar into me).

I've got one in my knee from when I fell off my bike and ripped a chunk of skin the size of a nickel off.

I have one on my stomach from the appendix surgery. Only about an inch and a half long (3 to 4cm). It would have been three smaller ones, but the doctor couldn't find my appendix using that camera on a stick thing, so half way through they just spliced them into one big one and dug around. Turns out the jerk was hiding behind my large intestine. Who knew.

I was a clumsy child, my dad banned me from riding my bicycle to get me to heal haha.

My most noticeable scars.
I fell off an old swing set and ripped a long cut open on my stomcach...
And when I was about 13 I passed out on my bicycle on a gutter... long gravel rash up my right arm.
I also have a cut on the side of my left knee from falling out of a treehouse...
A tyre burn on my left arm from holding a bicycle seat while rollerblading...
A light bulb burn from a reptile heat lamp on left arm...
Like a tiger claw swipe on my right leg from bicycle pedals..
Not to mention the many other scars that I cant really remember the cause.

I am really surprised I have never actually needed stitches or broken a bone.

Scar on my leg... tried to catch a falling 20inch CRT (for my gaming rig) from hitting the pavement. Geekiest scar I've ever received.

I have a HUGE scar on the left side of my back. I was in a pretty bad car crash 13 years ago; broke 2 ribs and punctured my left lung. I'm pretty self conciuos about it, that's why a year after the accident I decided to work out as hard as I can so that I can feel good about myself and not mind the scar as much (to balance it let's say, I was very thin and because of the exercise I was able to add some muscle). My whife is always talking about how cool it would be to treat the scar with a tatoo or something (not a bad idea) but I'm not too fond of tatoos really.

I have a massive scar across my stomach that people gasp at whenever I take my shirt off, it's about 10cm long (4 inches for you americans). People are always like "Oh my god, what happened?"

The terrifying story is...

I had a surgery done for pyloric stenosis when I was an infant, apparently the doc told my mom the scar would be a tiny little thing that I would never notice, boy was he wrong.

Other than that I have a ton on my hands and a small one on my arm.
Hey pedro i know how you feel i had he exact same thing when i was a baby now i have a freaking scar on my stomach and people always bother me about it. Next to that i have this odd little scar on the top of my wrist and i dont have a shit clue how its there

you will all laugh at this one. about two years ago, my parents started to give my dog soft food. but sense they left early for work, I got stuck with it. so every morning I have that dog in my face whining his ass off because he wants his food. on one such occasion, I was opening his dog can as usual, when the phone rang, I got startled and sliced my right pointer finger open down to the bone with the opened can of dog food.
as I was thinking how best to destroy my phone, I was noticing that an awful lot of blood was pouring out of my hand. I quickly ran to the bathroom to wash it, but the door was closed. my sister was taking a shower, when I rushed in she asked what I was doing and I said I had cut myself. shae asked if it could wait. I was like, uh, not really. so their I am washing the wound and gazing at my shiny white bone for about 3 min. unfortunatly, It wouldn't stop bleeding. thats when my sister got done with her shower, put a towel on and looked at my finger, and her face:priceless. she screamed, and called my mom.
of course she couldn't dfo anything about it, so I got shipped off to school anyway. thats what I call a bad beat.

Lets see...

I have a big one across one side of my stomach from kidney surgery (that gives me a roll even though I'm not very chubby at all).

One at the very bottom of my stomach from some other surgery (Which pushes my whole little gut up which is embarassing).

A tiny one on my thumb from when I shredded it on a torn up beer can in my garden.

A little circular one on my shin from when i got a rake stuck in there (Yes, I did the comical classic of not seeing, and stepping on a rake head, sadly it jumped up from the ground with the force and ended up stuck in my leg :S I don't recall if the handle hit my face or not lol)

And finally two SERIOUSLY embarrassing ones horizontally across my groin about an inch apart, one above the other, from yet more surgery as a kid, why so embarrassing? Hair doesn't grow on scar tissue, three sets of pubic hair, anyone? :p

I got one side of my right leg from sliding on the road after being pushed off a scooter when going going down a hill :S (also broke my arm from that)

umm 2 random scars on my left leg, they look cool but no idea how i got them.

my thumb from having stapled it as a kid of about 4, stupid.

one on my cheeck (face, just incase) from the chicken pocks again at about 3

and my best scar, a red kinda triangle thing sorta like an arrow tip i spose, that is right next to my right eye almost on the eyelid, not big but cool. it looks a bit like a rash but not really and thats from being stung by a jellie fish while swimming ta the beach once, last year i think.

My scar isn't nearly as interesting as the story behind it. I have a roughly circular scar on my left knee about an inch and a half in diameter.

When I was in high school there was a railroad behind my house that lead out of town. It was rarely in use, but plenty of old railway cars were stored there, and they were all linked together. So obviously the best thing to do was climb them, and run along the top jumping from car to car. It was pretty fun, but some of the cars had a last rung bolted to the top of the walkway that stuck up into the air just enough to slip a foot under. Naturally my foot got hooked under one while making a landing, and I fell onto the metal walkway on top of the train car, which is very similar to a cheese grater. This took a large chunk out of my knee, and I could see a severed vein, which covered my entire lower leg in blood on during the walk home.

The aftermath is fun too. No serious injury, but I had to cut the hanging flesh from my leg with a knife. It hadn't been entirely torn off, and was connected by a thread of live skin.

The funny thing is at the time it didn't really bother me, but I get a little queasy thinking about it now.

I have a horizontal scar across mt chest and a dent right in between my eyes. From when I was riding my bike down a very steep hill and when my brakes didn't work I panicked and crashed right into a car flipping over it I hit a brick wall (the hill had a cemetery on the right and I happen to be on the right) I had to have stitches across my chest, broke two of my ribs and fractured my collar bone (thank god for insurance). The second scar was from when I was at a fourth of July part of a bottle rocket bounced off a car (It did set off the car alarm) I turned and it hit me right in between the eyes and I now have a circle shaped scar/dent where the damn thing hit me.

When I was born the doctor accadentaly cut open my pinky finger. You can still see the scar.

I also have one on my right wrist from a scab that I kept picking at. I tell people it's a bullet wound.

Apologies for the bad humor. Violence is never funny...unless it's happening to someone else.

Small one along the length of my right thumb that I cut with a stanley knife while cutting out airfix model pieces. ^^' And a teeny tiny one after I was bitten on my left wrist by my uncle's Rottweiler, luckily only one tooth actually penetrated.

I have one on my gut.(Note:I share the name with a soldier named martin who got shot and had a stomach wound that showed his digestive tract, was used for science to study human digestion) About the same really, forgot how deep it was,was really young, maybe all the way to my intestines but has since healed. I think it was caused by a flesh eating virus(I jest not). lucky I guess, nothing left of it except a scar that look like a large lower case b(or d)

I've got a scar anklet - it goes all the way around. I had an accident with a quad bike and some barbed wire.
