Scary Costumes for Women

Given that Halloween is fast approaching I find myself suffering from a yearly conundrum, there are very few scary costumes for women. My options seem to be limited to ?slutty zombie?, slutty vampire? and so on. Now in the past I have made a majority of the costume myself, scouring Value Village for the odds and ends necessary to make something truly terrifying? but this year I find myself with considerably less free time on my hands and making a costume just wouldn?t be practical. I should also mention that I never wear a costume more than once, ever.

So I?m wondering if anyone knows of a place where I could find a good scary costume for a woman that isn?t too expensive?

How about dressing up as a true BDSM-domina... Wearing a large and painful-looking strap-on! (like with little spikes protruding out of the top of it) >:D

Honestly, nothing would scare me more than that. :p

Make your own. Seriously, get old clothes and make a proper zombie costume if you don't like the rack shit. That's what I do.

The Bubble-head Nurses make an excellent combination of slutty and horrific. Even scarier for people when they get aroused by them then remember what they are. Also, the female Splicers from Bioshock are equally grotesque but completely lack the 'tramp factor' if that's what you're seeking to avoid.

I can't think of a single scary costume, female or otherwise.
They all just look silly to me, and any attempt to look scary just makes it sillier.

Margaret Thatcher? I know she haunts my nightmares!
I think "slutty Margaret Thatcher" would hit all of the Halloween costume areas. Slutty? Check. Scary? Big check. Offensive? Check.

Some cosplay sites have pretty nice costumes for a decent price. I'm trying to think of horrifying females in video games and anime and I'm not having a whole lot of luck. Need to ponder more. How about a variation of Mileena from Mortal Kombat? Complete with the surprise mouth. Frightening.

Little sister from Bioshock. Get a old style dress, dirty it up, get a bow, wear a ton of make-up and find some sort of sharp implement, preferably something that resembles a syringe). The costume is actual quiet simple if you don't go super detailed and of course dead eyed little girls are the creepiest thing ever.

You want scary? Get a little girl/victorian/maid outfit, splatter it with pig's blood. Smear pig's blood over your face and in your hair, let it hang down in messy, sticky strands framing your face (if you have long hair). You can also rip the skirt somewhat, make it look old and tattered. Next, find the largest chef's knife you can, and stain that, and the hand holding it, in more pig's blood. Use eyeshadow around your eyes as well, preferably if you have pale skin. Perhaps smeared mascara, as if you were crying.

Conversely, make yourself into a life-sized porceline doll, again holding a large knife and wearing a tattered dress. Though the head may be hard to manage.

Because there is nothing on this Earth that is as scary as a little girl or her doll.

Left 4 Dead offers a few possibilities. Or Doom's Bride from Catherine. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lq8w51btsT1r0i16io1_500.jpg Link to a picture of Doom's Bride there.

I'd say that would still turn on most people. Alas. Can women do nothing to escape the Halloween sexy?
Quick solution:

Armpit hair wigs, and pantyhose with really long, manly hair on them to go with the rest of the costume (or the OP could be bold enough to just let her natural body hair grow out long enough).

Instant turn-off for most people, and the strap-on would be scary as hell.

(however, I'd like to dispute your claim since if there's anything a large strap-on is good at, it is making men who see it uncomfortable because it IMMEDIATELY cause them to doubt themselves with the classic "Is my penis big enough?"-neurosis :p)
