I hated how in Bethesdsa games AI always randomly starts talking to you and it always makes me jump because they go up slooowwlllyyy and before you know it they are up right in your face.

Oh and in some games that are horror but aren't to scary, I hate when you don't know where to go. Me and my friend were in a 'Fear trance' in Alma's bedroom and we couldn't figure out where to go we were so scared, if something happened I swear we would have cried like little girls. That always happens to me when I don't know where to go.

in the final level of Blood Omen 2 there was this huge blue monster thing that would appear every now and then and come after you. for some reason, i was terrified of it. whenever i got cornered, turned to go back to see it charging towards me made it worse.
usually i would mention the Eternal Prison from BO2 as that was messed up but i think that was supposed to be a bit scary.

The dentist from Bioshock. I still can't remember where he pops up, so every time I see him, I get freaked out.
You're not alone. You can sit there and prepar efor him but he will always scare you.

All kinds of little creeping creatures that come out of nowhere and eat your face right off.
For example - Duke Nukem 3D, Blood II, Alien vs. Predator 1...

Any water sequence in any game.. EVER.. I am terrified of the big evil gribbles lurking in the water. HL1 is a prime example of this.

In f.e.a.r I was in a combat sequence and I killed all but 1 guy. That one guy had a shotgun...
I turn a corner and I just manage to get the shot on him before jumping out of my chair...

You cannot grasp the true nature of Giygas' attack!
The thought of that is rather unsettling, to say the least. I kinda wish I hadn't had that fight's ending spoiled before I got around to playing, though. It would've been EPIC instead of just being awesome.
Try terrifying more than epic.
It gets even worse when you find out where the inspiration for this battle came from.
Drugs? Lots and lots of drugs?

Ah, I just thought of another one. LotR: Return of the King on the XBox.

Shelob.

'Nuff said.

The Cutscene after you restore the Lanayru province in Twilight Princess. Those who played the game know what I'm talking about.

Also "YOU NO TAKE MIRROR!!"

That is one of the few scenes that I'm actually glad was spoiled for me before I played. It made it a lot easier on me when it happened.

GINORMOUS Wolfspider in Arx Fatalis. Even the normal sized wolfspider (about as tall as a dog) scared the shit out of me, don't they think about people with arachnophobia?

Also the rabbit-sized spiders in Penumbra: Overture. They don't LOOK that scary, but there are many of them, they're fast and they are usually found in areas where you don't want to come across them (ie air ducts and various other tight spaces)

Some of the vaults in Fallout 3 scared me into a sheet of blankets for a few seconds.

Yeah, having a phobia like this can make gaming hard sometimes. Like I said before, it made OoT and TP hard for me, Shelob's Lair was a nightmare, I hated running through that one region in WoW that had spiders in it, and hell, even those mechanical spider things from the first stage of Perfect Dark Zero got to me.

Well, if you're ever going to play Arx Fatalis, keep this in mind: When you spot the giant worm, THE GIANT WOLFSPIDER IS DIRECTLY BEHIND YOU SO RUN THE HELL AWAY!

In fallout 3 when I was looking for a quest or anything, just wandering around...lalala, then as I was walking I went between some rocks, so I just kept walking then I heard a Death Claw, I looked behind me and it wasent there, I look in front of me and it jumped me. It was just creepy.
