Exactly what the title says, What Power Armor from the Sci Fi genre do you want to wear?

Me everyone always go for the Plated metal armor in Sci Fi.

Me? This is the future of Sci Fi Battle Armor, the Crysis Nanosuit:

Crysis 1 model:

Crysis 3 model:

No hard titanium metal plates for protection, extremely hard fibre that also gives you the ability to run as fast as the Flash and be as strong as The Hulk and jump high.

Well, that is just the newer models in Crysis 2 and 3.

The original model of Crysis 1 seems to have no problems.

Space Marine power armour has the serious advantage of not feeling like you are wearing heavy armour while wearing it.

OTOH, you need to be a marine to use it, and you shouldn't be able to walk on some surfaces.

Inquisitors and Battle Sisters have junior power armor. You still need a few plugs installed in your back and hips, but that'll only be 1 or 2 invasive extremely painful surgeries. So its possible!

As far as myself, does mobile armor count? 'cause I could totally rock a Leo or Heavy Arms. A Zaku in a pinch, but come on, shit's weak man.

One that comes with a jetpack or similar flight enabling device. Which I'm sure appears in any number of sci-fi properties.

Armour isn't any use to me, given that I don't get shot at on a regular basis, but flying would be pretty dope.

Ah, but it doesn't feel like you aren't wearing armour, you're slow and cumbersome.

Nope it has to be a suit you wear on your body, not giant robots for your to pilot.

Gundam for all intense and purpose are vehicles.

That's true. So you might have to go whole-hog on this one and become a clinically psychotic bio-engineered gigantic super solider murder monster.

It's gonna be either the X-01 powerarmor (as in my avatar), the X-02 'Black Devil' powerarmor, or Doomguy's Doom 4 armor. This does, yes, include a host of customizations and upgrades.

Well, its also a process that has to be started when you're a young child, so you're way too late.

Personally I'd probably go for Mospeada Ride Armours from Mospeada - Jump-packs, forearm mounted missiles, durable, variety of hand held weapon options, and transforms into a motorbike for long distance travel.

Either that or Samus's armour from Super Metroid with all the upgrades.

There actually is some precident for adult men being made into Space Marines. The Wolves 13th company were all adults when the Emps showed up on Fernis, and they demanded to be made into Marines too. And it worked, more or less. Bunch of them died, bunch more turned into Werewolves, but they ended up with a full company of Space Marines.

Also in the Blood Ravens novels, after loosing a bunch of Marines they recruit from the Imperial Guard, taking a bunch of Veteran Sergeants and whatnot, cutting them all open, shoving all the Marine organs into them, and just expect their bodies to heal themselves. Totally worked somehow. Got a bunch of Marines.

I like the premise of a rocket rollerskating outfit from Vanquish, but I think the suit looks over designed. In the book Ancillary Justice, characters have armoured scales sown into their skin/clothing that they can activate/deactivate at will - I want that armour.

Any Star Wars armor. Mandalorian, Clone, Stormtroopers. It's been my dream since I was a kid.

Eugh thinking of a type of power armor that doesn't involve invasive procedure to get to use and preferably comes with some flight module..Yet also is somewhat protective, so this eliminates most of the cool looking star wars armor :(

Fallout 4 power armor with jet pack attachment? As a bonus i'd be immune to fall damage if i were to somehow fly up then my jet fuel would run out for some reason.

Just euh..Be careful of pressing that morph ball function, i don't know what kind of crazy contortionist training samus went through, but i think trying to perform move would be fatal for most people :S

The SPI armor from halo.

It's protective against small arms, has servos to offset its weight so it's easy to move around in, and you don't need invasive surgery of any kind to wear it.

None since I am under the impression that any frictional armor that got made in real life as uncomfortable as hell (since the desinger never think about the wearer comfort). I mean take the Master Chief armors made for cosplay or promo, can the person wear that all day?

I'd opt for Guyver unit 1
Powers include- Accelerated healing/regeneration, enhanced strength, high-frequency vibrating swords mounted on the arms and gravity manipulation (flying and weaponized)
A full list of Guyver powers/abilities can be found here http://guyver.wikia.com/wiki/Guyver_Unit.

To be honest, I'd probably pick the most comfortable one. Like, I don't know. The sci-fi equivalent of thongs and socks.

What? I don't fight aliens on a daily basis. Honestly, if I could walk around in pajamas all day, I would.

[sub]If we're going with the coolest sci-fi armor, then the suit from Section 8 [http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/section8/images/d/d9/Section_8_Earth_by_Baldasseroni.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100823202444].[/sub]
