Here's the thing about humans, we like to think we are special and unique. You wouldn't be able to get much more special or unique than having a failed micro star system within an existing star system.

For the record, I never made the claim Jupiter was an actual Brown Dwarf, I said reclassification pending. It is still a gas giant, for the moment anyway.
Actually half correct. Jupiter is a failed Star, in that it does not have the Mass or Density or even the required Elements necessary to start actually a cataclysm of becoming any heavier than it already is. Basicly it can be influenced if we'd get like 2000 Years into the future and throw a lot of shit at it and artificially jumpstart it, if we are even that far ahead by then.

Until something like this happens, Jupiter is basicly both a failed Star and a massive Gas Giant, in terms that its most likely the biggest/heaviest Gas Giant that we know of so far that it borders relatively close to jumping onto the next stage of its "cycle" as it were. Thats why its interesting, its a gigantic fat thing, right there and we cant figure out why its so big, or small yet is so dense with such a massive gravitational field. Compare Uranus for example, or Neptune, both are semi-gas giants, at least in neptunes case, no one's really sure yet if it is or isnt one.

Hell the most fascinating about Jupiter for me is, its huge, its basicly violent with its raging Storms and what not, its got a gravitational field that can pull gigantic asteroids traveling several thousand kilometers per SECOND towards itself and swallow them up, yet it has moons which DEFY logic of actually not being pulled in, despite being much closer to it, without exerting a massive gravitation themselves, for their respective sizes, to counter Jupiter. That itself tells me that we might believe that its possible, but we cant explain exactly how it is possible. At least i havent had a sufficient answer on that yet that would satisfy me.

Anyhow, Jupiter aint a brown dwarf. If it was, we'd be fucked, and i mean REALLY fucked.
