Scooby Doo was a parody from the very beginning

Jinkies... well, actually maybe I would have picked this up if I watched the show or any of the films today. I haven't watched Scooby Doo in years, but thanks for the input.

Well wasn't it just a continuation of the Abbott and Costello type parody? Where you watch goofy characters react to scary situations in a way you wouldn't think befits that situation.
