Poleboy was a test character I made the first time I played Guild Wars. He never made it past level 1, but the name kinda stuck for some reason. It's vaguely offensive without meaning anything specific. It's also almost never taken.

The avatar is a crowd pleaser. It's Fargoth, a character from Morrowind getting punched in the face. He was subjected to so much hate from the community that they included a joke about it in an expansion to the game. I never had any particular feelings towards him myself, but I thought the avatar was hilarious and strangely hypnotizing, like many other animated GIFs.

I think mine are pretty self explainitory. Rain a ninja from Mortal Kombat. I don't know why I like Rain so much as a secondary character away from Sub-Zero and Scorpion, but to me he always holds a place in my heart. Prince of Edenia and demi-god of the relms, hired ninja assassin. That's pretty cool. But why dress in purple?!

My name basically came from a want of needing a nickname I didn't have to put a number after... Since I started on the internet, it's the fourth major nickname I've used on a regular basis... The first three didn't cut it, a lot of times I had to register for an account with a number, and I hated that...

The name is pretty much a combination of my job, I'm a sailor in the American Navy, and my general play-style. If I can get a kill, I'm willing to take a death

I've always had an interest in trivial knowledge, and it's one of the few things I think I'm really good at, so I chose the alias "Mr. Trivia" and applied it everywhere I go online.

I'm using the Duo Maxwell avatar because I'm an American who enjoys anime and science fiction - who better to represent me than the American pilot in Gundam Wing?

Well the name was JOE COOL, but at the time of creating the user I wasen't in the mood for creativity. If people remember this they can call me Sintow Nakoroe or Sin for short.

Well, Zak Frost(or just Zak, usually) is my game name, so I use it for almost everything.
My current avatar is cut out of this(only about an hour ago). Because that show was awesome.
And my original one was a shrunken version of this. Because pentagrams are fun! I found it one a while ago when I was searching for something to use as the picture for this card:

Back when I was making tons of these fake YuGiOh cards, as jokes on another website(Yes, I'm that geeky).
I'll will update this, if anyone cares about my future avatars.

UPDATE: [link:http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r270/fuworldruler/zakemblemgiant2.png]My new one[/link] actually has a story behind it, I made it originally for Animal Crossings: Wild World town flag, but really liked it so, I made again on the computer and have used it as my avatar on a few boards; so I think I have been here long enough to switch it to that one. Yes, I know czar doesn't have a completely pointless silent "c" in front of it in the avatar, that's on purpose; If was to ever use that as a title I would want it to be individual. I will probably just use variations of this from now on.

UPDATE: I changed it a little bit, nothing huge, different font, slightly different color, my non-abbreviated name and it's not as fuzzy.

Most of my friends call me J because it's the first letter of my real name and they are apparently too lazy to say it properly.
Cro is simply the first three letters of my last name.

As for my avatar...I can't be bothered making a good one so used a pic I took. I guess it represents me as I am a basketball addict.

I'd been playing a lot of FF12 at the time and decided to name myself after a Technique (Too lazy to look up the FF12 spelling,) Shade of Black, one random black magic spell. It was taken, so I decided to go with another cool colour. And thus, ShadeOfRed was born.

My avatar is loosely based off my old one. Which I chose because Shade Of Black was a black magic spell, so I used a black mage. I changed it to one with a bloody hat recently.

The nickname and avatar are taken from a poster designed by my girlfriend to go with a webcomic we never managed to get off the ground. It had been a sort of strange idea long before then, so the name and look of the character have been my online identity for a while.

Oh man, I've got too many names out there. This one's pretty much unique to this board.

Since I was a kid I've liked wolves, so they're kind of part of my childhood. Plus I've always liked fokelore and mythological type stuff, and wolves are all over that. But the thing that I like about their involvement in mythology is that half the time they're revered and half the time they're hated, so it's relative. Anyways, short answer for the wolf part.

As for the wind, it just blows around not really attaching itself to anything. It can be calm and soothing or it can rip a house outta the ground (not that I can). Yeah, I'm a little contemplative, but that's where the name's from.

Plus I like the way it kinda rolls together. "Wolfwind".

As for the avatar... well it's a wolf. I like its look though, like "come near me and I'll bite you." My friends tell me that I always seem unapproachable before you get to know me cause I don't smile much, so when I saw the pic I was like "Hey, that works."

My avatar is the vaultboy poking out of the Black Mesa logo. I made it myself. I'm thinking about raising the vaultboy a bit, though, so it's more obvious that it's the Black Mesa logo. Or is it obvious enough?

Nickname given to me after I shot a guy I didn't like. It's an orkish contraction of "git" and "snikk" which means "foe-killer". First name is "Flame" for the fiery temperament. *shrugs*

Avatar covers two aspects, the first (like so many) is because Yahtzee drew me in to the site by being so alike myself. The second is that most forums I post on there are people who are completely rock-solid in their opinions despite all contrary evidence (perfect example: "Dual Master Crafted Weapons" on the bolterandchainsword forums) - so that's a reference to their "fan-boy" style (and not necessarily to PS vs XBOX vs WII wars).

Isalan was just a name I made up for my hunter on WoW cos it sounded vaguely Elfy. Generally, on FPS's I'll go for the name Rampage (if someone hasn't already nicked it) and until recently my forum name was MorningLord (which I borrowed from one of the Baldur's Gate games, it was a gods nickname iirc).

As for my avatar, I went for a treant from WoW. No idea why, and my moving combine one wouldn't work on these boards for some unknown reason.
