I just named it after the composer Antonio Vivaldi, because I...like classical music sometimes...yeah.

Also, it is the same as my gamertag so yeah.

The Walrus is just cool...

So do I.. and agreed!

I know many of you have probably heard this before.. my nick comes from a cicada in Japan that rises when the sun sets. Hence its name: that which brings darkness. Most naturally think I got it from the wonderfully unique anime Higurashi no Naku Kori ni, but even if I did, there would have been no shame in it. <3
I actually discovered the anime about a month after I read about the cicada. I just enjoyed reading about culture, so sue me.
Also, the name is pretty comical as I'm as nice, gentle and loving as a snuggle bunny.. most of the time.. eh, nowadays.

As for the avatar.. well, right now I proudly bear the flag of the Sith Democratic Party, as I was among the first ones to join it. I tend to switch between that and Vyse, King of Rouges, from Skies of Arcadia, one of the best games ever. Recently used a mug shot of Micaiah from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn though.. and I wouldn't be surprised if I use some of the other characters for that purpose as well. The art.. it's unmatched.

Hm.. seems I just now called upon the powers of the netherworld.. unwillingly. Oh well.

My user name was given to me by a friend, and I've been using ever since for gaming; now and then I do seem to get compliments about it when I'm playing games, pretty sweet.

My avatar is just my Xbox360 avatar, I've never been good a having my own funny one or type of character that I "owned", plus it was just quicker to use it instead of having to look for one through many files or on the internet.

I like my avatar because its a bird, on FRICKIN FIRE, and it just won't die.

My name started as a star trek pun Data-Lore. Then when i went to a newly opened Galaxy Lan and set my username, but the guy heard me wrong and put it in as Datalord, and it just stuck, so i use it online

Back a few years ago, I was on IRC and I wanted an aviation related nick. Most of the good names were taken, so I went for obscure (the Mi part of MiG, in case you care).

My avatar is an action figure I repainted.

Mine is my first initial and last name, pretty simple.

My avatar is the Red Comet himself, Char Aznable, the coolest MS pilot from the Gundam universe.

What can I say? I love the ideology of GDI: High-Tech weaponry and Keeping the Peace with an orbiting Ion Cannon.

Well, at least until I can get a decent Battlestar Galactica GIF.

I (obviously) don't have an avatar. I'm usually pretty bad about picking them. The name though is a fairly recent convention. When I first started playing games online (quake, Duke Nukem 3d) I went by the handle Sabretache - a character from the Redwall book series. As I aged I started to realize using names from a children's book was a bit silly so it changed to SynTek (oddly not stolen from Sin though I was often accused of it). I kept that name for ages but eventually other people started cropping up using that name so I changed it again in 2006 to Eclectic Dreck when I was playing CS Source and doing poorly. I had not played online games in several years, and since I was no longer able to dedicate gobs of time becomming a badass in games it seemed fitting to describe my poor performance.

I am annoyed that people confuse Eclectic Dreck for "Electric Derek" about 90% of the time, but I guess both words are uncommon enough that most people have never heard them.

My name comes from Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. I discovered the hidden Insomniac Museum within the game, which is a playground containing all kinds of neat stuff and info about the game. Within this museum is the 3D graphic of a blue alien with a gigantic fist, and when you get close to it, the text "All hail Mr. Fister!" appears on-screen. I loved it, so I've stuck with it ever since then.

And I chose this avy because Midna is awesome. 'nuff said.

Ah. Well, my nickname here is my XBL name, and my XBL name is one I chose out of desperation. You see, the first, oh, THIRTY or so names I wanted to have were all already taken. Not just my real name, primary nickname, secondary nickname, tertiary nickname, names of cool stuff, but even a lot of really obscure names, all already taken. There are just too many people on the Internets these days! In the end I just wanted to get on XBL and start playing already, so I resorted to just thinking up some not totally lame nickname, hoping it wouldn't be taken. And even the first few of those were already taken! But at last, this one wasn't. And it's even not totally random: 'anti' because I often dislike what most other people like, and 'particle' (and indeed 'antiparticle') because I have an interest in physics. Oh, and I think 'antiparticle' sounds really cool when someone with a British accent says it.

My screen name is from a Brass Eye quote: "Several people have been brained by saucepans thrown out of tower blocks... used to make this... stuff." As for my pic, It's something I did for my Art A Level (I got a U).

Scarecrow because its the callsign of my favourite literary character Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield from Matthew Reilly's novels

38 because I'm guessing Scarecrow was taken at the time.

Ted Buckland from Scrubs because he's my second favourite character (behind Elliot Reed) and I hope to become a lawyer some day.

Well one day I found out that wet sand isn't called mud, but noone knew what wet sand was called so I came up with the name Heppenfeph as term for wet send, but I was playing WoW at the time and I thought it would be a cool name for a Gnome Death Knight so I then called him Heppenfeph. And I just like the Joker which explains my avatar.

Count Fenring was a cool minor character in the Dune series, he was pretty Machievellian, which made me think of him as a kind of badass. My avatar is just my Vault Boy puppet I got from PAX on my carpet, it was just the best picture I could think of at the time. I still have yet to come up with anything better and it has kinda grown on me.

The avatar is Pandaikon, the cute little half-panda, half-daikon mascot of the NDB.

I was feeling slightly forlorn when I decided on my internet wide pseudonym, thus "Social Pariah", and has a nice ring to it in my eyes, as well as looking ok on any forum or gaming board. Also, no need for ugly numbers, in most places at least, a "-" is as far as I'll go down that route...

The avatar would be Elfen Lied, and that would be a mixture of it kind of fitting my name and the series being awesome.
