i have a r9 290x. latest drivers installed (not beta) and today even the latest adobe version. didnt do any tweaking what so ever with it.
since i had this card in my system last month, i had some occasional black screens that lasted for a split second, then back to normal. never really had it during playing games. mainly when it idols in win or even reading a forum, like this one, thats when it seams to appear. either after an hour or longer. but for the last few days it gets worse. now the screen turns completely black. not the monitor it self. just earlier today the screen was tearing a bit and then it lost connection to my monitor.
after a forced restart it was working normal again. then, wile playing talos principles, suddenly the game froze for a moment, the screen started flickering, then it was all black. the game was still running tho. i pressed the esc key and i only saw my mouse. i was able to quit the game by just listening to the sounds of the menu. isaw everything normal in win but could not see firefox when i opened it up. i restarted the pc normally.
is the latest driver faulty or normal for this card? and no, i havent switched back to the older driver from the GPU it self.
