I want Battlefield: Bad Company 3.

I need more Haggard!

They are two separate entities right?

They are seperate game series, but under the same franchise title. Kind of like how MW2 was different to Blops, but still with the Call of Duty name.

Anyway, I'm not getting any Battlefield games. They just don't really interest me.

I like it. Battlefield in general has not been known for its stellar single player plotting though.

Well, first off, the Battlefield series has always been about the multiplayer. And this year, it seems like they are going to put a lot more into the single player campaign

Bad Company 2 was horrible, worst battlefield I've ever played

If bloom, 4 vehicles, tiny maps, bloom, no commander system, 32 players, bloom and CG spam is your thing then your opinion is stupid and you should feel stupid.

thankfully it's a different series from regular battlefield.
Look, I can't even support online multiplayer, so I was stuck with the single player. I still love the characters though even if they're archetypal. The game has some of the best quips I've ever heard.

Whatever, I like both Bad Company and regular Battlefield and can't wait for Battlefield 3 because it looks like a lot of fun. Isn't it going to have a co-op campaign of some kind too? I hope I heard and/or read that correctly.

While I was never sold on Bad Company's gameplay, the dialog was some of the best I've heard in forever. I firmly stand by the phrase: "When you're rich, you don't need math."

It's like Halo 3: ODST: the gamplay itself wasn't stellar (Firefight was awesome), but I enjoyed the campaign because of the characters. Both games had writing that gave it a sort of TV show feel, in a good way.

"What? I can know stuff!"

I wish they'd written more little jokes like that.

If bloom, dust, 4 vehicles, tiny maps, bloom, no commander system, dust, 32 players max, bloom, CG spam and dust is your thing then your opinion is stupid and you should feel stupid.
But... but...

eh different games for different players

I was never sold on BC2's gameplay, but the focus of team based combat was really fun
that said, I'm really excited for Battlefield 3

did I mention Frostbite 2?

Im really excited for Battlefield 3 and I really hope people will support them instead of buying mw3, but I'm pretty sure that will never happen.

I'm really excited for a game that's not littered with things I see on TV war dramas with less care facto-

oh. That's not about this, is it.

Im with this guy. Its one of the worst single players Ive played, and mostly because it was so dull. I did spend hours on the MP tho.

Personally, I'm glad they're going back to the original style. BF:BC1 never really dragged me in for various reasons, and BC2 had a pretty bad storyline, as others have mentioned. Plus, we get prone now :D

Bloom? It was the glow of a God-like gaming experience.

Dust? That's just glitter.

CG spam? Tasty treats I like to share.

32 players and tiny maps? That's just intimate.

Its one of the games ending in '3' I plan on buying this year. Quite honestly I'm much happier to be getting a BF3 rather than a BC3. BC2 just wasn't good enough, and I'm still remembering all the fun I've had with BF2.

maybe its just me, but i have always liked 2142 over bc2. some thing about mechs and flying fortresses added into the mix was appealing to me. and the hole little story arc of the world is freezing over and humanity is loosing is shit was appealing.

and i might be in the minority again on this, i love bc2 multiplayer. the dust and bloom is there to make sniping less effective, keep in mind, in some the older bf maps, it often just ended up being sniper wars, i never found that to be fun. it gives the feeling of wide open maps with out giving pure dominance to snipers. and ofcorse the blowing up of buildings is a nice touch.

Sweetwater: "if this was a snowmobile race, I'd be beating you!"

Haggard: "snowmobiles!? Snowmobile's are for sissies!"

"if we don't do it, they'll get some spec ops pussies with heartbeat sensors on their guns!"

That game hates call of duty. So. Much. XD

Anyway, as much as I love the characters, who I personally name "the B team", the single player wasn't all that good, I won't be missing it, but it wouldn't surprise me if we did see them return at some point.

Maybe an xbla title? "supa haggard blows shit up hd; Hypa destructive". I'd buy it.

On a side note, there was one genuinely awesome part in the campaign. That part in the blizzard. Running between houses to avoid freezing to death, shotgunning enemies as soon as I can see them through the snow, amazing.
