Hey escapists. Like most card-carrying nerds, I've seen Yu-gi-oh the Abridged Series and fell in love with Kaiba's catch phrase "Screw the rules, I have money." What variations of this phrase would most apply to your everyday lives?

Examples:

Screw the math, I have logic! (said by a classmate who talked his way through proofs without doing a single calculation)

Screw the zombies, I have torches! (for when a bad day gets even worse)

Screw the sponsors, I have Tivo! (suck it, Diet Coke)

And I'm guessing he failed to see the complete and utter irony that Logic is actually Maths, yes? Seriously, the entire field of logic is considered a sub-field of maths. I did a module on it last year in my university maths course, quite interesting stuff really .

Anyway... Screw the rabbit, I have Florence!

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I have two posters on my bedroom wall of Florence Welch, and she's holding a rabbit in one of them. I was looking at said poster when I thought up that comment.

To be fair though, I'd much rather Screw the Florence, and have rabbit. Because Florence Welch is pretty damn hot (hence wanting to screw her ;D), and rabbits are cute and awesome to have...

Touche, good sir. I believe someone called him on this. I think he meant a more verbal, intuitive logic that appealed to a layman's understanding rather than strict mathematical expressions. I don't think the irony was lost on him; he was using a more generalized version of the word 'logic'... and 'math'.
