"Screw This Game"

I'm going to get right to the point.

Have you ever had a "Screw This Game" moment?

I just had mine. Playing Far Cry 2, which for some reason dosen't have an auto-save feature. I did a lot of missions, went to a bus stop, and the game crashes. Easily an hour of progress lost. "Whatever", I thought. I should have saved, my bad. I start the game up again and do a couple of the missions. "Aha! I've learned my lesson, I'll save".

The game freezes in the menu screen.



On a sidenote, should I keep playing Far Cry 2, or should I just give up?

Far cry 2 isn't really that bad, it just has quite a few glitches. I'd continue playing it after you smash a couple of things in frustration.

I've had this problem too lately for two reasons. The first is in Fable 2, for some reason my game freezes every 15 minuets almost on the dot, I finally got so frustrated that I had to stop playing. Second was the insane dificulty that is presented in the artic base level in Iron Man (not the greatest game to start with) I was getting blown away from the begining, and was just about to throw the disk across the room.

Dead Rising. I died, and lost 1 to 2 hours of play, and haven't touched it since.

My moment? About to kill an impossibly hard and long boss, and I miss my attack when it is 1 life, so I get blown up by its critical next attack IT HAD ONE LIFE!

Ouch, I know what that's like.
I had one of those moments last night. I was playing Tiger Woods '08 and, like all EA sports games, it cheats. I got pissed off, uttered those words, and went to bed.

yeah i bought MGSPOPlus thinking it was going to be like MGS2Substance or MGS3Subsistance. The same game but with more extra shit, but NO! it had no storyline at all AND YOU DONT EVEN START OUT WITH SNAKE! apparently you unlock him later...FUCK THAT! i returned that game and bought MGSPO.

Assassins creed. The game play was okay, but the cut scenes were SO long and the story of it was SO awful. I never went back after the first night.

Sim City 4 Rush Hour. No autosave, crashed after 4 hours. Vanila Sim City 4 never crashed on me

The pc version has a quick save

mine was when i played BioShock for about 3-4 hours didn't save in that time and it crashed >< never played it again but might dig it back out...

Part of the reason I loathe games that use background dice rolls. I tried playing the game and since I have not played before I decide to make a fighter because that seemed simple enough. It seems the game despises all non-magic classes because all melee classes are destroyed in seconds by a level one spell without even hitting the damn wizard one fucking time!

Screw that game.

The first helicopter chase in the game. Took me fifty tries because I would always fly too high up without moving forward, and it tells me i lost the target. Luckily Niko shared my frustration by yelling such things as "FUCK THIS!" or "GOD FUCKING DAMNIT!"
