Mercs 2 because for some odd reason every enemy base you run into has suicide RPG wielders that hide in a bomb shelter and respawn every two seconds. I got so frustrated whenever i thought "oh hey i'll just go mess with some enemy faction for a giggle like mercs 1" but NO they all are being supplied by Al-Queda or America because you never run out of RPGs in Venezuela FUCK THAT GAME
Scarface. I was on the third part of Miami and I had to get respect to advance. I didn't have enough money to buy all the expensive stuff, so I decided to move coke from the islands. After 15 minutes of intense shooting and driving, I hopped into a boat and drove towards Miami. Another 15 minutes of intense shooting, my boat is nearly in flames, but I'm close to the finish. Then, out of fucking nowhere, a heli shows up and blows my boat up. I load my save and then realise that even if I pulled the coke deal off, I wouldn't have even half of the amount of money I need to advance. Uninstall.
I have this quite a lot when trying to play Street Fighter IV online. I wait for the same predictable moves from repetitive and quite frankly terrible players and the game wont let me block it, or it wont let me counter attack because of lag. Fun times.
The Last Remnant does this to me alot. Ill miss every attack 3 turns in a row and then get killed by a bunch of bugs. They're bugs for gods sake! Why cant I hit them!? AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!McCa said:

The final boss thing it the game is a Meteor Parasite, or something along those lines. You kill it by attacking a few tentacle things that are sticking out of the ground all around it. I have the strategy guide (because I cannot see how anyone can beat THIS game without it) and it said that upon defeating this boss, there would be a second one immediately afterwards. So, I play for about an hour and a half attemtping to beat the first boss, which is piss-easy except for the fact that it has GRATUITOUS AMOUNTS OF HEALTH. I'm about to kill it... and then my mom informs me that a have a doctor's appointment. Right now. WTF.
I haven't touched that game since.

Final Fantasy X. I'm at the point where (*spoiler*) the bajeepers is about to be blown out of a bunch of people on a beach. Having just exhausted my funds on gear and whatnot, I decide to play some Blitzball with my uber awesome team from Luca. I save beforehand, as I always do, then play a few games. Well, my team's contracts expire... and I haven't any money... so I lose my ENTIRE Blitzball team. At this point in the game, you can't go back to Luca, which is where half of the best team in the game happens to be twiddling their thumbs...

I dislike auto-saves. Viking - Battle For Asgard in particular suffers from "I want to see that spectacular piece of awesome again but that means I'll have to play through the whole game again up until that point because of the damned auto-save" syndrome. I much prefer things where I have only myself to blame if I don't save often enough.
fighting hel in Too Human she was the last boss and i was the bio engineer class i think the one that heals so i got crap atk crap defense and im dying every other mminute i finally beat her and was so happy i died like 15+ times and she doesnt go up in health every time i died either *thanks god* well ya there is my story ps. its actually a really great game although it does take Norse Mythology deep into the woods with a shotgun
Resident Evil 5 on Mercenaries, Map - Public assembly trying to get an A grade to unlock a new character. Me and my Dad got a total of 71000(Ish) Points, 97 Enemies killed and 13 kill combo, No A in sight, I think we've given up now.

Crysis. After trudging for hours through repetitive jungles waiting for the game to get interesting, I get to a part where I have to sneak into an enemy camp. The area around it is patrolled by a helicopter that knows precisely where I am from anywhere and can see me through any amount of forest canopy and then place a hail of bullets straight between my eyes. At that point I realized that I have no intention on figuring out how to get past that obstacle just so I can continue NOT having fun. Screw this!
FF7. After the first hour of looking at some of the ugliest 3D models ever to grace the screen of my PC I could take no more. It was just too ugly to bear. Screw this!
F.E.A.R. Upon realizing that I'm halfway through the game and all I get is the same firefight over and over again. And then the game decided to shake things up by throwing invisible ninjas at me... and folloing it up with yet another identical boring firefight. Screw this!
Empire: Total War. After the game crashed for the 5th time inside one hour. Nothing is worth that crap. Screw this!

Annoying because it gave you the weakest main weapon ever, fucked up all attempts at tension and excitement, and forced you to get meta on the game's arse when you found something difficult. Also it fucked me over because I spent several minutes confused because I approached a ladder from the logical direction to mount it.

Before realizing it is one of the greatest games ever, I had one of those moments in Final Fantasy Tactics. I got it for my birthday right after it came out. I play the first battle, and didn't realize you could add characters to your team, so I was rushing into battle with just Ramza. Needless to say, I died many times. Didn't play the game for about 2 years.
The legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. For those who haven't played it: You're forced to do dungeons in one sitting since you'll travel back in time whenever you save. Anyway, I was almost at the end of one of the dungeons and the game decides to crash on me, never touched that game since.

Every time I had a moment like that I always picked it up again after a year or so and destroyed the part I'd gotten stuck on. I'm hoping that will happen with Ninja Gaiden and those goddamn purple sewer worms.
There was also I time when I was just playing Starcraft against the computer for kicks to practice. I won the game for once (I'm not very good see) and so I saved the replay. I go back to the replay and play it. It shows me losing the game. Each time I replayed it it did something different. Then I said "fuck this game, its a sore loser".
