Yes. Deadrising. It was just so boring. Killing zombies is fun. Why the hell did they need to add a retarded storyline? And force me to play through it to unlock more sections of the mall?
And the difficulty is like running into a brick wall. It takes so long to get the points for leveling up that i gave up after 4 separate occasions trying to get into it. The concept was great. The shit they added to it ruined it.

Played COD 5 online for the first time. Shot some people, did quite well, 8 man kill streak, but then I got 4 messages from a "clan" saying they'd had enough of me being a noob, and all four of them targetted me specifically throughout the progression of the game until I quit.

Morons.

Actually, I had that moment with the first Halo. I bought it because everyone raved about it. After the third time that I started from a checkpoint and couldn't figure out which way to go because all the rooms looked alike and all the enemies had respawned I said "No amount of awesome physics is worth this" and gave it to a friend of mine.

I liked Halo 3, though.

Final Fantasy 12. I forget where exactly it is some temple in some frozen tundra area. There's a room you have to go into where there are these three dragon-like monsters stomping around and there is no way to avoid them since you have to kill them to unlock the next door. Have died probably 50 times in that room with varying tactics. Can't be bothered to grind level ups till kindgom come to just see the next story sequence.

I had the same feeling with that game, and I just gave up. If you bought it, stick with it, however, if you rented it, just return it and don't waste your time!

Force Unleashed. Might not be much of a spoiler, most people see this coming, but as a formality:
Just gone through the Darth Vader-boss, then almost did Darth Sidious, and suddenly the entire thing blacks out. I start it up, and I have to start from scratch with Dart Vader. Never played it since.

I have had this happen. I was playing GTA: Vice City again out of boredom awhile back for a total change because my brother had borrowed my console and a few of my games. And I had just got everything back. So I was re-playing all the missions in the game and I got about 2 hours into the game and it froze or something and I lost all of it. I just wanted to throw the controller across the room when it happened. I said 'screw this' to it for a few weeks before picking it up again.

I've had than moment in many games. More recently Madworld, which doesn't have a checkpoint system for whatever reason.

I was fighting Frank in the castle, and I was just about to beat him, 1 hit away, and I died. I had to restart the entire fucking level.
pissed me off.

I have those moments at least once during every Counter-Strike: Source session.
You mean like when you get instant killed in the very begining of a round and then have to sit and watch the rest of the round as two campers sit and wait for eachother in opposite ends of the map?
That shit happens to me so many times.
Hate it with a passion.

Dead Rising. I died, and lost 1 to 2 hours of play, and haven't touched it since.
I didn't know what to say in this thread, but you remembered me of probably the biggest "screw you" moment in gaming I've ever encountered. I lost far more hours of play though.

I'm going to get right to the point.

Have you ever had a "Screw This Game" moment?

I just had mine. Playing Far Cry 2, which for some reason dosen't have an auto-save feature. I did a lot of missions, went to a bus stop, and the game crashes. Easily an hour of progress lost. "Whatever", I thought. I should have saved, my bad. I start the game up again and do a couple of the missions. "Aha! I've learned my lesson, I'll save".

The game freezes in the menu screen.

On a sidenote, should I keep playing Far Cry 2, or should I just give up?

EDIT: Thanks for all the responses, I decided to push trough with Far Cry 2, but then, it can go fuck itself.
My "Screw This Game" moment? Easy, same game... That s****y Far Cry 2... but I can save you the energy of slogging through the endless suicidal jeeps, instaspawn checkpoints, and mentally handicapped AI as I suffered through this boring s**t storm for you. Here is the pointless identical "multiple-endings" of this equally pointless snorefest. Save yourself the time, toss it now, as it is definitely not worth the effort, there is a long list of a hell of a lot better games out there.

The only reason I sticked with the game was because I found the Jackal compelling.

Thank you for saving me hours of torture.

Uninstall.

Red Ninja, the final level. There was some kind of timed sequence of jumping puzzles while you chase a boss over some rooftops and he attacks you while you try to avoid soldiers on the ground, or something... the camera is crap, it's usually guesswork figuring out where you can jump and wallrun and such, and yeah, I had just had enough. Shoddy controls, crap camera and a severe lack of checkpoints are some of the game's major flaws.
I'd kept telling myself, "the weapon is cool and I've made it this far, why not play it through to the end?" but then I thought instead, "yes, I wasted good money on this crap, but why am I wasting good time, too? I have better things to play, and if I didn't, I could find something else to do!" I haven't played it since.

Glad I could help, at least I didn't suffer for nothing. To save one from this boring fate is reward enough. Hope you can return it or at least sell it.
Burning is the only treatment it deserves.

That same thing happened to me, and I said "You know what? Fuck this game!" and quit.

RE 5 on professional. I had just gotten past chapter 5 and the game froze before it could auto-save. I almost threw my controller at the T.V. Needless to say that was my biggest "Screw This Game" moment that month.
