Season 9 kicked off December 1st!

I just recently finished watching the latest episodes of Scrubs on Hulu, and was wondering about the communities feelings for it

As for me, here are some Random thoughts

-Even though Scrubs should have ended a while ago, I still appreciate it
-Kinda upset about the New Hospital Setting
-Love the new Interns, the last bunch were pretty lame
-The writing seems still solid
-Wonder how the shows going to be after Zach Braff takes off
-I hope that it keeps up
-Still hate Dr. Mahoney, shes just lame
-Honestly, the new interns rock
-Why isn't Cox still Chief?
-Lots of things unexplained
-Seriously, the new interns are pretty cool

Still, I'm happy that I get to watch more Scrubs!

Wait. JD left at the end of the last season only to.. still be on the show? was this because no one would watch the show if he was gone or did I miss something?

Don't get me wrong here, I'm a huge fan of the show. Been watching it since the first season but the feeling I got from JD leaving is that he, you know.. left?

I though it was going to suck, but I saw a couple of episodes and I'm impressed. I just think the new main character is SUPER annoying.

He's back for the first six episodes to help transition the show. He's not a doctor, he's a Med school teacher, going with the whole new motif of the show.

He's going to be in some episodes this season.

I think it's still pretty good. Granted, I miss the Janitor, but I don't know if he'd be the same without JD around all the time.

I also like Dr. Cox's new "mentor" role toward what's-his-name.

Really? I liked her.

I still don't like Joe (Dr, Mahoney) a lot. But every other intern is awesome. Especially the Australian girl.

Yeah I agree about not being sure about setting, though the med school setting could allow for a lot of shenanigans. I love the new interns too- good stuff.

The transition from hospital to med school was a little bit sudden. Some things got quite confusing.
And most of all I'm gonna miss the Janitor. His possible insanity always added a little extra humor to the show, they better come up with something creative to replace that bit.

Disregarding issues over whether they should have made it, it was pretty good. Granted, I'm disappointed that they got rid of the Janitor.

Also, completely random thought: it kinda reminded me of Nanoha StrikerS in a way (a way that other series would, it's just the series that sprung to mind). What I mean is that the main characters from the previous seasons are now teachers with a new set of characters as students. Of course, plenty of other things do that.

And now if you'll excuse the above rambling, I have to uncontrollably laugh at the mental image of J.D shooting a Divine Buster.

Yeah this is me too. I really like the whole cast but without JD it just doesn't seem like it'll 'pop' like it used to.

And what? no janitor? damn, just damn. :/

I guess this'll be the last season, but then again I thought last season was it. For me? I'm thinking its over but I'll give it a few episodes to be sure.

Alright I'm 2/3 of the way through the first epi of 9 and still haven't seen carla. someone PLEASE tell me carla is still in this, please?

I'm in the UK and I can't wait for these episodes, season 8's finale is only next week though.

But they usually do a great job of creating a nice all round cast with everyone getting more or less balanced awesome screen time.

Dr. Cox was always my favourite though, although everyone is bloody amazing. I hope Jordan's still in the show though.

I thought it was cheap for lucy to daydream just like JD did.
I was also shocked to see JD there, i too was sure he left.
It was a big stretch to take most of the people to a different place almost just because.
I liked the intern that wrote his name with a five color pencil, he had potential.
Not too fond of Joe either, how come she slept with what-his-name, he's not fat! (or vulnerable as the young black doctor in season 8) i guess they couldn keep up that any longer.
That young black doctor had potential too.
...i could go all day.

Yea I liked Ed (that intern's name) a lot too. He was the only good one from that season.

If JD is leaving then I think it would be better to get an entirely new cast and set it somewhere else... I guess that's probably a different show, even if they manage to capture the atmosphere and randomness that made the earlier seasons so funny.

Carla and janitor both out and soon JD too? Well it looks bleak but the show was still a little funny.

On the bright side that australian girl is cute, not sure that can hold the show together but it's something. lol.

...How did they have a 9th season? They had a definitive END to the show with season 8. They even had footage of the actors saying goodbye, hugging each other, the whole lot. You can't ask for a better ending. So...wtf?
